CHESTER - NORTHWICH 1927 Chester FC home programme v Northwich Victoria, 12/11/1927, Cheshire League, first team game as Chester only became members of the League in 1931 when they replaced Nelson. EVERTON - LIVERPOOL -NOTTS COUNTY-GLOSSOP 1904 Issue number 2 of the Everton and Liverpool official programme and rather unusual. Dated 3/9/1904, Liverpool were at home to Glossop and Everton were away at Notts County that day. However the Everton team is listed on the back inside cover as are the Liverpool and Glossop teams but the editorial states that this is the first appearance to the Liverpool public and our visitors today are Glossop which indicates that it is a Liverpool home issue, especially as Everton were away at Notts County. Strangely the teams listed in the centre pages are for Tranmere Rovers v Chester at Prenton Park and Port Sunlight v Heywood United which verifies that the programme also covered the Cheshire / Merseyside clubs. The programme states that the secretaries of Everton and Liverpool recognise this as their official programme and are co-operating with the supply of team lists etc. Very early days of the joint programme, edges are a little fragile with some minor paper loss ( nothing of substance). Ex bound volume. Fair
