ß Roses de Jeanne, Cote de Val Vilaine, Blanc de Noirs V16 (2016 Vintage)Domaine Cedric Bouchard6x75clIN BONDCedric Bouchard is one of the new generation of star growers in Champagne. Based in the Côte des Bar in the Aube, in the south of Champagne, he only began making wine in 2000, from 1.4 hectares of vines, but has since added his father's 1.5 hectares to this holding. Initially the wines he made from his father's plots were labelled 'Inflorescence', but since 2000 they have all been under the Roses de Jeanne label. The approach is very much a terroir-influenced one, and the plots used are indicated on a map on the back label. Farming is organic and all wines are single-site, single-variety and single-vintage Just first pressings are used and the primary fermentation is with wild yeasts.

2009 Domaine de la Granges des Peres, Blanc1x75cl Laurent Vaille started his career training in the cellars with Jean Francois Coche-Dury (Meursault), Gérald Chave (Hermitage), and Eloi Durrbach (Domaine de Trévallon, Provence), before settling in the l'Hérault of the Langedoc where he purchased his first land in 1989. His choice seemed at the beginning a bit odd; because the nature of the poor, hard limestone soil, which required massive work in order to enable planting vines on them at all. But soon after, it became clear that he actually discovered a great and very unique terroir under these hard rocks.Choosing the right clones was obvious to him. He sourced his Syrah, Marsanne, and Roussane cuttings from Gérard Chave, His Chardonay from Coche-Dury and his Cabernet from Domaine de Trévallon. The Vaillé family is deeply attached to their Aniane's terroir, and they know exactly how to unlock its full potential by constant work in the vineyards and keeping low yields (20-25 hl/ha). The total production is tiny (2,500-3,000 cases annually). The result is no less than what is widely considered as one of the greatest wines in France
2007 Chateauneuf du Pape, Cote Capelan La Ferme du Mont4x75cl2009 Ico(o)n de Rasteau4x75cl2005 Gevrey Chambertin Hospice Nuits, Les Champs ChenysDomaine Jean Luc Aegerter1x75clTotal 11x75clIco(o)n de Rasteau is a wine I have never seen or heard of before this sale , so here is a little info on it ...i think it sounds rather special and probably perfect for a summer BBQ. Mark RobertsonIco(o)n reflects the force of Rasteau's terroir, all the while expressing finesse and elegance. It has its own small cellar, where the 7 best selected parcels available at Cave de Rasteau are used in its production: Grenache from the famous Saint Didier, Girards, Chaberte and Crapons localities, boasting typical yellow clay soils; Syrah from Encostes and Combe Julière, offering well-watered deep clays and loamy sand; and Mourvedre from Blovac Nord, comprising a first layer of dry gravel, followed by deeper marls. Afterwards, specific and rigorous production requirements are respected at once in the vineyard and in the cellar, including hand picking in crates, containing 10 to 12 kg at the most - nothing short of star treatment !
