A pair of French side chairs, walnut, with exposed scroll carved showframes, upholstered backs, stuffover seats and raised on cabriole legs. Width across seat 49 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both chairs are structurally very sound with no loose joints. The carved dressing rails are in good condition as are the cameo backs and supports. The upholstered backs and seats are in first class condition with no holes, no staining and no problems with the upholstery or springing. All legs are in good condition with no woodworm and no repairs.
Elizabeth II - fourteen sheets of unused stamps, five sheets commemorating her silver jubilee denominations from 8½p to 13p, the remaining sheets with values and denominations from 9p to 13p to include racing at Dorsette Ferry Windsor 1684, The First Spring Meeting, Newmarket 1793, the Liverpool Great National Steeplechase 1839, Saddling Mahmoud for the Derby 1936, plus a single sheet of British wildlife.
A mahogany cased grandmother clock, with three-train spring driven striking movement and with roundel to the base. Height 173 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on all three trains. It appears to be ticking away but is not striking when manually advanced. There does not appear to be anything missing from the movement and all gongs and hammers are present. We have the pendulum. We do not have a key for either the hood or trunk door. The doors are locked. The case is in extremely good condition with only very minor marks around the key holes to both the hood and case. There are some very minor marks around the feet but the case is really in first class condition.
