2017 Porsche 911 (Type 991.2) Turbo S CoupéRegistration no. VA17 EAFChassis no. WP0ZZZ99ZJS151197Odometer reading: 11,159MOT Expiry: 15 April 2022*Low mileage Turbo S*High specification*Fitted with optional carbon ceramic brakes The 991 Porsche 911 is one of the most well-rounded and thrilling generations of Porsche's famous rear-engined sports car. The car was faster and lighter thanks to greater use of aluminium, but also more comfortable than ever before. The Turbo S in particular is the pinnacle of the 911 range, offering the best balance of comfort and performance before moving towards track orientated models such as the GT3 and GT3 RS. This example is a 991.2 model which was introduced in 2016. It featured updated styling, more interior tech (such as a radar guided lane-change assist), and a power increase from its 3.8-litre twin-turbo charged flat-six, now producing 572bhp in Turbo S form (an increase of 36bhp over the Turbo). This resulted in a staggering 0-62mph sprint time of just 2.9 seconds. First registered on 29 July 2017, this example is a very high specification Turbo S and features the upgraded Burmeister sound system, panoramic glass sunroof, and the Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brake Package (with yellow painted callipers). The car is in excellent condition and has a very low mileage of 11,159 miles, and also features its original owners handbook. This model is also fitted with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission which offers fast and precise shifts, and also a much more relaxing driving experience when desired. The 991 911 is an incredible modern sports car and the Turbo S only emphasises its impressive performance. This is a well-cared for example presented in an excellent condition.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 93/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. 2018 Bentley Bentayga W12 6.0Registration no. HF18 YYBChassis no. SJAAF14VXJC023107Odometer reading: 14,132MOT Expiry: 6 August 2021*Low mileage Bentayga W12*Exceptional performance and luxury*Desirable Marlin Blue colour scheme The Bentley Bentayga is the ultimate vehicle in terms of luxury, practicality and performance. Upon its launch at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bentayga kickstarted an all-new SUV sub-segment and was labelled by Bentley as the world's first true luxury SUV. Not only is the car hand built at Bentleys factory in Crewe, but it also offers incredible performance that is expected from a modern Bentley. The Bentayga was powered by an array of engines that included a 4.0 V8 petrol and 4.0 V8 diesel, however neither of those engines compare to the sheer power and refinement offered by the company's world renowned twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12. In the Bentayga, the W12 engine produced 626bhp and a mighty 663lbft of torque, propelling the car to 60mph in 4.0 seconds, and moving up to a top speed of 187mph – figures that are unheard of in a 2.4 ton luxury SUV. First registered on the 7 August 2018, this 'Marlin' blue example has been very well looked after and has a low mileage of just 14,132 miles. The car is presented in the 'Marlin' blue exterior colour scheme with the cream 'Linen' diamond quilted leather interior (with piano black veneers). The combination is very desirable and is very well suited to the car. Also featured on this example are the 22-inch five-spoke alloy wheels that give the car unrivalled road presence. The car is equipped with its original owners hand book. Externally and inside, the car is in excellent condition (as would be expected for a car of this age and mileage). This is a lovely example of Bentley's acclaimed and incredibly capable luxury SUV.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 90/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. Naval General Service Medal, 1847, named to Thomas Lemon. 1st Lieut. R.M., with one clasp Trafalgar. Confirmed on the roll. One of ten officers and 53 men of HMS Dreadnought who received the clasp Trafalgar. HMS Dreadnought, launched in 1801, was the 98 gun sister ship to the "fighting Temeraire" and in October 1805 was under the command of Captain John Conn. She was the eighth ship of the lee division to enter action on the day of the battle of Trafalgar and forced the surrender of the Spanish ship San Juan Nepomuceno. Seven of her crew were killed and 26 wounded at Trafalgar. Royal Marines had a variety of roles on board the ships of the time - ranging from guard and sentry duty through to sharpshooters in battle and even gun crews. They were always the first line of both defence against an enemy boarding party and attack when they would be at the forefront of any attempt to capture an enemy ship. 2,600 Marines took part at Trafalgar with 17 officers and 332 men losing their lives. Thomas Lemon would have been one of only a handful of Royal Marine officers on board Dreadnought.

Lot 51

Two Victorian military medals, named to Lieut. W. C. Ormsby. 63rd Regt. N.I., comprising Army of India Medal, 1851, with two clasps, Ava and Bhurtpoor and Sutlej Medal, 1846, with Sobraon clasp. One of only 13 men to receive the Ava and Bhurtpoor clasp combination (2) William Carelton Ormsby was a cadet in the Bengal Establishment in 1821 and was commissioned as ensign in the 32nd Native Infantry in 1822. He transferred to the 63rd Native Infantry (Mynpoori Levy) in 1824 and was appointed Lieutenant in January 1825. He took part in the first Burma War in Arakan in 1825 and at the siege of Bharatpur in 1825/26. He was made captain on 20th January 1835 and took part in the First Sikh War at Ferozhahr and Sobraon in 1846 where he was wounded. In 1853 he returns home, now a Brevet Major, on a medical certificate but on 15th November of that year is appointed Major with the newly raised 3rd Bengal European Regiment. He's appointed Brevet Lt. Col on 20th June 1854 and retires in September 1855. He died in Plymouth aged 70 in 1875. Note: Robert Puddester's "Medals of British India" lists Ormsby and notes that only 13 medals were issued with the Ava/Bhurtpoor combination, with W.C Ormbsy being one of just 11 Honourable East India Company officers to receive it. Both of these medals appear to have been mounted or brooched then re-suspendered at some time in their history with corresponding marks and naming obscured/re-engraved in some areas, please see photographs. It seems likely that these and the previous lot (Lieut. A.H. Ormsby) were from the same family and so it is perfectly understandable that they would have been treated in the same way. Whether this was as jewellery, menu holders or for another reason we cannot say.

Lot 52

Indian Mutiny Medal, 1858, named to R. Tagg. 90th. Lt. Infy., with two clasps, Defence of Lucknow and Lucknow. Confirmed on the roll. Punjab Medal, 1849, named to Capt. R. N. Tronson. 2nd. Eur. Regt., with two clasps, Chilianwalla and Goojerat. The very first officer to take command of the newly formed Shanghai Volunteer Corps. Robert Nixon Tronson was born in 1820 in Newry, Ireland. In 1881 he was living at 27 Avenue Elmers, Kingston on Thames, Surrey, married to Maria Jane Durrell (nee Cooke) with eight children, (three daughters and five sons) and three servants. His occupation is listed as Colonel in the Indian Army. In Burke's peerage he is noted as being a Major General in the Bengal Staff Corps. In 1839 Tronson was serving as an ensign with the 56th regiment of Native Infantry at Dinapore; he was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Bengal (European) Light Infantry (later 2nd European Bengal Fusiliers) on 29th January 1840 and 1st Lieutenant on 15th August 1842 attaining his captaincy on 15th November 1849. He served with them in the second Sikh War in the Punjab. The National Archives of India show him being put at the disposal of the Foreign Department for employment in the Punjab in 1851 and he is appointed both a Pension Pay Master for the regiment in Lahore and a captain in the Punjab police. In 1853 his career takes an unusual turn when Captain Tronson took command of the newly formed Shanghai Volunteer Corps, a small unit formed during the Taiping rebellion that was to see action in the Battle of Muddy Flat in April 1854 against Imperial Chinese troops*. It is believed that this battle was the first time the Americans and British had fought side by side as allies on land. Tronson is appointed to the Bengal Staff Corps and promoted to Major in 1861. He passed away on November 9th 1882 in London. * Notes on the Shanghai Volunteer Corps. Major A McKenzie Annand TD. Journal for the Society for Army Historical Research vol 53 no 214 Summer 1975 page 98.

After Selwood's death in 1651, Beck was transferred to carry on his apprenticeship under Thomas Loomes until 1653. Richard's short working life was around six years and his work produced in this time cannot therefore have been made in great numbers. Only a handful of lantern clocks by Richard Beck is known today, and these clocks are signed in slightly varying ways but generally 'near ye French Church' or 'at ye French Church'. These were all made as balance wheel examples, as the pendulum did not appear till 1658. Richard Beck produced fine clocks with excellent engraved dials. Tragically his brief life as a young clockmaker who flourished during the Civil War came to an end when he died in 1659 at a young age of twenty-seven. 22.04.21 The brass surfaces are discoloured and nicely aged, side brass doors are missing, back wrought iron panel is missing, alarm work is missing, back left hand side foot with a small crack which is probably a casting crack, movement is dirty and the iron work is discoloured with small rust marks in places, back left hand finial with a small crack to its base, dial with wax missing to the numerals, dial is discoloured, alarm disc is now a dummy and has no alarm work, hand is slightly rusty and has a small split near the end, movement in going order, with one weight.

1975 Yamaha TZ350 Transmission: paddleMileage:Having experienced racing success with their very earliest 125 model, which translated satisfactorily into improved sales, Yamaha retained their interest in competition and continued to take part in racing. Entering 250cc races in 1957, they made a special bike for the job. Further racing followed, and factory machines had to compete with the all-conquering Honda multi-cylinder racers of the day, but developments led to the TD1, TD2 and TR2 air-cooled over-the-counter racers which formed the backbone of club racing the world over. These machines were eventually superseded in 1973 by the TZ models which featured water cooling – deemed necessary to prolong the racers' longevity. This absolutely superb racing motorcycle was first owned by the champion Austrian racer Friedrich Bilek and the original bill of sale and registration document accompany this bike. It also comes with its original Yamaha handbook and a set of silencers. The present owner stripped the bike down and then rebuilt it to the standard you see today which is superlative and ready to race. Excitingly, this bike has an entry into the Goodwood Members’ Meeting in October this year and should the buyer wish to compete in this event, it would be possible using the present owner’s name as the Entrant. A wonderful motorcycle fit for any collection but can also be ridden in anger straight away - fabulous!Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

2007 Piaggio APE TM Tipper Transmission: manualMileage:2370The Piaggio Ape is a three-wheeled light commercial vehicle manufactured and marketed by Piaggio as an adaption of the company's Vespa Scooter. In continuous production since its 1948 introduction, it is offered in numerous body configurations to serve a wide range of utilitarian functions. The Ape was initially marketed as the VespaCar or TriVespa, but Piaggio subsequently marketed the utility vehicle just as the Ape, the word being derived from the Italian for â€˜Bee’; its scooter marketed as the Vespa, meaning â€˜Wasp’.Currently two model ranges are offered; the ‘Ape 50’ with a 49.8cc petrol engine and the larger ‘Ape TM’ which comes available with a 218cc petrol engine. On offer here is the larger TM version with its 218cc engine. Whilst not a motorway contender, it does give the little tipper plenty of power to haul around whatever you may wish. Its flashing orange hazard light above the cabin, fitted by its first owners, Essex County Council, was presumably fitted to warn other road users of urgent Essex Council business! As a council vehicle this little Ape is fully UK registered, something which can be problematic for such vehicles with today’s modern safety standards. The tipper bed is hydraulically operated, making for easy removal of whatever load it may contain. Both the ‘TM’ and ‘Classic’ models can carry 700 to 805 kg (1543 to 1775 lb), with fuel consumption for the Ape TM model being about 71 miles per gallon so, whilst not fast, it is very cheap to run. Supplied with its UK V5C registration document, this little Tipper would make for a fun little runabout or a great promotional vehicle for your company. Either way you can imagine being a charming Italian, driving around Rome or Lake Como, chatting and stopping for a coffee with everyone you see on your rounds.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Transmission: automaticMileage:67584The Mercedes-Benz W126 is a series of saloon vehicles manufactured from September 1979 as the successor to the earlier W116 line, the W126 being the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship to officially bear the S-Class name referring to Sonderklasse or ‘special class’. The W126 was initially offered in straight six, V8, and turbo diesel saloon models. Compared to its predecessor, the W126 was more aerodynamic, fuel efficient, capacious, and more powerfully engined. The W126 range also introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations including the first airbag (supplemental restraint systems), seatbelt pre-tensioners, and traction control. The W126 had a twelve-year production run between 1979 and 1991, the longest of any S-Class generation since the flagship models were first built in the mid-1950’s.This delightful Mercedes-Benz was originally registered on 13th January 1989 and has covered 67,584 miles in its 32 years on British roads. The light blue coachwork is in very good order and the contrasting dark blue velour interior virtually unmarked. Clearly a very well cared for example, this 300 SE comes from the era when Mercedes-Benz were building cars that would seemingly last forever. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 1st February 2022, with only three previous keepers these W126 models are becoming increasingly rare-particularly in this condition.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Lot 119

1930 Ford Model A Transmission: manualMileage:78858The Ford Model A was manufactured between 1928 and 1931 and was the second huge success for Ford after its predecessor, the Model T. The Model A was offered in a wide variety of body styles and was the first Ford to incorporate the standard set of driver controls with a conventional clutch, brake pedal, accelerator and gearshift. The engine was a water cooled in-line four-cylinder arrangement with a capacity of 3.2 litres or 2.2 litres. With a conventional three speed gearbox, (plus reverse), the top speed was around 65mph. Stopping power was by four-wheel drum brakes operated by rods. In addition to manufacturing in the United States, Ford made the Model A in Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom. The 1930 and 1931 models were offered with exterior door handles, stainless steel radiator cowlings and headlight housings. This nice example of this US classic is presented in beige and black with a new grey velour interior. The present owner had the engine overhauled, installing a new head gasket, plugs and a new distributer. It has a Model B head which has improved its performance by 10mph! There is a large history file with the car which runs well according to the vendor. Tax and MoT exempt, this example is offered at no reserve and a classic saloon from the prohibition era which is fun and can take the whole family! Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2003 JBA Falcon TSR Transmission: manualMileage:12557JBA Motors was a company based in Norwich that makes the JBA Falcon. The company was originally named JBA Engineering and the name came from the first letter of the surnames of the three partners who founded the firm, Kenneth Glyn Jones, John Barlow and David George Ashley. They were all engineers at British Leyland. John Barlow later left the company and it was run by Ken Jones and Dave Ashley until 2004. Sadly, the company went into administration in 2007.Originally registered in April 2003 this JBA is fitted with a 2.0 litre Ford Pinto engine. The twin choke Weber carburettor and attractive power to weight ratio ensures this is an open top car that offers brisk performance. A five-speed gearbox makes driving on longer journeys more comfortable and the wet weather gear helps as we all know the British weather can be a little unpredictable at times. Having covered only 2,700 miles since 2017 and used very little of late, it is recommended a service be carried out on this Falcon prior to use. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 23rd March 2022 and a number of invoices.A great way to enjoy exciting open top motoring for a relatively modest outlay. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 127

1978 Bentley T2 Transmission: automaticMileage:52852The Bentley T-Series was the Bentley badged version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, available as a four or two-door saloon with coachwork by James Young or Mulliner Park Ward. The Bentley differed from its Rolls-Royce equivalent by its more rounded front grille while the badging on the wheel covers, boot lid and gauges naturally featured Bentley motifs. In October 1966, the ‘T’ saloon's pre-tax 'list price' of £5,375 undercut the Rolls-Royce by £50! The Bentley was technically an identical twin of the Rolls-Royce and seemed to have been purchased mostly by owners wishing for a more understated luxury saloon. This magnificent example presents well in the extremely popular colour of Caribbean blue, this is contrasted with blue leather front seats and blue velour rear seats. This difference in materials was apparently the request of the first owner’s wife who preferred the warm feel of velour when being chauffeur driven. The condition of this rare Bentley is extremely good. Not surprising when the file that accompanies the car shows restoration invoices between 2017 and 2018 totalling an eye watering £33,800. Works included a bare metal respray, rewiring to ensure correct working of switches and dials and the fitment of a new air conditioning unit which we are reliably informed blows ice cold air on request. We are also told that this Bentley is a joy to drive and that he has recently spent £1445 on servicing. A letter from the Bentley Drivers Club dated 2018 is present and suggests a valuation for insurance of £32,500 which also makes us believe that this wonderful example is sensibility estimated. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, the only reason for sale is an unexpected move by the vendor who says he will miss this Bentley very much.
