Nameplate FRINGFORD MANOR. Ex GWR 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon in January 1939 and numbered 7814. First allocation was Westbury and in August 1950 shed allocation Plymouth Laira. In March 1959 shed allocation was Machynlleth for work over the former Cambrian lines but then moved to Didcot in May 1965 Final shed allocation was Gloucester Horton Road from where withdrawal took place in September 1965. Scrapped at Bird's, Long Marston. This is the left hand plate, stamped in the rear L7814. The original BR Swindon receipt accompanies.
Nameplate ST MAWES CASTLE. Ex GWR Castle 4-6-0 locomotive built Swindon in 1932 numbered 5018. First allocation was Old Oak Common in August 1932 other allocations included Newton Abbot, Stafford Road, 82A Bristol Bath Road, 82C Swindon, 85B Gloucester Horton Road, 86C Cardiff Canton and lastly 81D Reading from where it was withdrawn in March 1964, Scrapped at Cohens Kettering in November 1964. In lightly cleaned original condition and stamped in the back LIN No 5018 Lot 280 indicating this is the left hand plate. One of only a few Cornish named Castles and the first time either plate has been available at auction.
A Smith & Wesson double action first model revolver in .44 Russian cal, S/No.22900 circa late 1880's, first produced 1881 until early 20th Century, 54,668 in total, this example blued finish with a 4" barrel, there is slight surface loss to L/H M.O.P. grip, but overall the revolver is in excellent condition retaining a very high percentage of original finish, a strong tight action and mint bore

Vinyl & Music Autographs - The Who - Three 45's to include Anyway Anyhow Anywhere / Daddy Rolling Stone (Brunswick 05935) signed in biro on the sleeve to one side by Keith Moon, and on the reverse by Roger Daltrey, Pete Townsend and John Entwistle. Sleeve is tatty with tears and sellotape, vinyl is Vg. Along with I've Been Away / Happy Jack (Reaction 591010) in union jack paper sleeve and I Can See For Miles / Someone's Coming (Polydor 604011) in paper sleeve, 'Gaby' written to label. From the private collection of Gabriela McGee who first met the band in 1964 when they were 'The High Numbers' supporting The Beatles in Blackpool and went on to become a close friend of Roger Daltrey throughout the early years of The Who.
Vinyl & Music Autographs - The Who LP & Single fully signed by the whole band Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon, Pete Townsend and John Entwistle to include - My Generation LP (LAT 8616) signed to front and rear sleeve by all four members of the band by their pictures. Signatures to front significantly faded, signatures to rear are in clear biro. Outer sleeve tatty, inner sleeve creased and slight tears, vinyl has one notable mark on side 2 but otherwise Vg. My Generation / Shout And Shimmy 45 (Brunswick 05944) signed on Brunswick sleeve in biro by all four members of the band. Sleeve is in good condition with some discoulouring to edges and corners and slight tears along opening. Vinyl is in Vg condition.
