Pauw, with Additions by Daniel Webb Esq., 8vo, pp. viii (incl. h.-t.), 235 [1, blank], (i.e. / n.b. the first of 3 variant issues, this one without Webb's "Sequel" which in one issue runs to 58 pp., and in the other to 100 pp.), with small printed errata slip pasted onto title verso, woodcut devices on title and last page, fine tree calf with gilt tooled armorial device bearing the motto 'Quid Prodest' to upper board i.e. the Webb family crest (perhaps indicating this to be a retained family copy or bound for presentation), covers with gilt Greek key borders, spine gilt in compartments with morocco label, marbled endpapers, (spine a little rubbed and scuffed, small abrasion to lower board), Bath, Printed by R. Crutwell; and sold by C. Dilly, 1795. The front paste-down carries a later armorial ex-libris bookplate with the motto "Fide et Fortitudine." (b) PRICE (Richard) Observations on the importance of the American Revolution, and the means of making it a benefit to the world. To which is added, a letter from M. Turgot, late comptroller-general of the finances of France: with an appendix, containing a translation of the will of M.
