Chinese export painted en grisaille tea bowls and saucers, 18th century. The first bowl interior is painted with a European figure playing the horn stood on a parquet floor, the exterior of the bowl painted with Dutch galleon and boat builders at various stages, the second bowl interior is painted with a Dutch galleon, the exterior of the bowl is painted with figures busy with tools and another smoking a pipe with galleon in the distance; the third and fourth bowl interiors painted with Dutch galleon and the exterior of the bowls painted with figures hunting and working with tools, all four heightened with gilt, approx 9 x 5 cms. The three saucers painted with similar scenes to the tea bowls, approx 13 cms diameter.

Two early to mid 20th century traditional Asian conical hats; first a stitched cane fibre hat from the Murat Community of Indonesian Borneo with black and orange applied paint creating abstract and geometric patterns and underside reveals the printed cotton textile to which the fibre strips are stitched. Diameter 43cm. The second hat is of layered palm fibres stitched together, with the reinforced brim edge and finial finished with several styles of decorative weaving, diameter 42cm
