dating: Late 16th Century provenance: Brescia, Flat, smooth plate, featuring two marks at the first part of the long tang: the former one shaped as a chandelier, the latter shaped as an open hand. The external wheel held by a rung-nut with two screws. Pan with sliding pan cover. Strong hammer with a big, squared clamp and baluster-shaped throw; spring with very elongated upper appendix and ending in a right angle. Small curl-shaped carvings and pitting. The back with moulded decorations and other engraved curls, similar to the ones at the front. See similar samples in 'Armi da Fuoco Italiane' by A. Gaibi, from nr 37 to nr 55, and particularly nr. 37, 40, 52-53, all dated between 1580 and 1590. length 29,7 cm.

Beautiful handle covered with silver foil worked in dots and decorated with nielloed bands. Wooden, leather-covered scabbard with engraved silver mounts, nielloed and decorated with small cabochon bone beads. One ring and one suspension loop. length 93 cm.

Engraved tangs, with rear sight and numbered '1' and '2'; forward spring lock signed 'Devisme' on a black background and framed with rich floral engravings; briarwood half-stocks finely carved at the fore-end cap and around the butt-plate, micro-checkered butt. Iron mounts engraved en suite, trigger guard with finger support and triggers with integrated set trigger. Kept in their wooden case lined with green cloth, with all quality tools and the key. See 'Der Neue Stockel', vol.1, page 291. L.F. Devisme is documented in Paris from 1834 to 1859, he received a silver medal in 1839 and 1841 in the great industrial exhibition. length 41 cm.
dating: first quarter of the 16th Century provenance: Venice, Wide, straight blade, the first part with fuller at the centre and with a round cut, at the end of the fuller a brass-inlaid cross, from here a delicate, double-edged fuller. Fine, iron 'S'-shaped quillon with flat, carved quillons and grooves on the outer side rising from a bud at the base; large pommel carved with shells. One-and-a-half-handed wooden grip covered with leather (restoration). Interesting and scarce model. length 112.5 cm.

Silver filigree inlaid-works. Fine, iron mounts partially carved, decorated en suite, parts with original gilding. Iron ramrod, probably spare. Long, ancient lock with flat lock plate, carved tang. Hammer with a small bird on the concave back, screw with six-petalled flower, pan with sliding pan cover, carved batterie and spring. Wooden full stock slightly sculpted (small ancient restoration near the butt-plate), iron mounts, trigger-guard engraved with floral motifs in high-relief and partially pierced, engraved butt-plate, smooth shield under crown on the base. dating: circa 1600 provenance: Flanders, Interesting and rare iron, single-and-false-edged blade with hollow tip, the base finely engraved with floral motifs, the back first flat, after triangular and then with a hump, all engraved with gold flowers. Beautiful, majestically executed grip, depicting a bronze lion with remains of mercury gilding. length 48 cm.
dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: Italy or Spain, Short, smooth-bore, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrels with rib, octagonal at the first part with Spanish markings of Juan Santos between fleurs-de-lis and crosses all with gold-inlaid, then two rings, round acanthus leaves, and with engraved, brass moulded muzzle that joins the barrels; tang engraved and with sight. Roman-style flintlocks engraved and carved, the edges decorated with elegant Greek key. Full, wooden stock with brass mounts engraved with floral motifs, the rear end of the trigger guard restored in bronze. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. On the back a shield with heraldic coat of arms under crown. It is probable that the barrels were not shortened but were created in this way to be used for hunting in the undergrowth. length 84.5 cm.

Semi-inner wheelock, the cover with a double-headed eagle, the LOCK PLATE with an angel, the bottom en suite with the barrel, carved spring and hammer decorated with dragons, spark arrester and sliding pan cover. Remains of silvering. Full wooden stock, richly carved in relief with animals among spirals, the left grip with imperial eagle under crown between three eagles, a hound, a hare and floral motifs, the part under the barrel with grooves, butt-plate, fore-end cap and ramrod pipes made of engraved bone, under the butt a fire mark in the shape of two mirror fish and the inventory number '15'. There are currently about fifty known works by the as yet unnamed 'Master of the Animal-Head Scroll ' (or (Meister der Tierkopfranke), including a number of arms produced for the court of Emperor Franz III (1637-57), it is believed that 3 of these were the personal property of the Emperor himself.The most comprehensive study of the 'Meister der Tierkopfranke' was carried out by Hans Schedlmann in a publication in 'Arms and armor annual', vol. Octagonal at the first segment with ribbed frame and remains of signature 'GIO BATT RAMPINELLO'. On the side transformed into percussion in a later time. Both the second and third order are cylindrical (shortened?) and with rings at the girdle. Tang with hole for the assembly. Barbiroli reports Giovanni Battista Rampinelli (with letter 'i'), barrel maker from Gardone Val Trompia (Brescia) of the second half of the XVII century, killed with his brother during a shooting in 1681, in the struggle between opposing factions in Gardone. dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: North Italy, Smooth, four-stage, 13 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part, then with rounded corners, followed by a sixteen-faceted segment and finally round after rings and with moulded muzzle, brass wide rear sight, modern-style flintlock, engraved with floral motifs, featuring areas damaged by rust like the barrel. Wooden half sock formed by two parts with mounts and pierced brass inlaid-works, grip with button to bend the butt with brass frames. Two small loops for a thin belt. dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: North Italy, Smooth, two-stage, 15 mm cal.barrel, octagonal at the first part between two marks among lilies, 'EGIDIO' and 'LEONI', the latter and the lilies are gilded, then round after a ring and acanthus, missing foresight, gilded swallow-tails and decorations; engraved tang, lock signed 'Girolamo Ar....' provided by antifriction ad sealing systems, gilded vent. dating: second quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Brescia, Flat plate with oblique borders, most of the surface engraved with racemes, a deeply-marked mark with an open-wing eagle surmounting the initials 'GA' at the center. Hammer with straight throw and the base engraved and carved with curls, jaws engraved en suite at the front, batterie with baluster base. Various elements with engravings and shaped as leaves. See a very similar item in 'Brescian Firearms' by N. Di Carpegna, featuring the same mark, plate XVII, n. 1. dating: 1838 provenance: USA, Round, rifled, 52 cal. barrel at the nozzle (clean bore), with foresight. The breech block with bolt action that lifts from below thanks to the iron lever placed in front of the trigger guard. Incorporated in the bolt, the flintlock, with back hammer, pan and batteria. Working mechanics. Remains of the markings 'J.H. HALL / H. FE... / US 1838'. Full, brown stained wooden stock. Iron mounts. Butt plate with some pitting. Iron ramrod. Attached are historical notes collected by the owner.This rifle, manufactured by Harpers Ferry Armory under license from John J. Hall, was the first mass-produced breech-loading military rifle adopted as a nationally issued sidearm. dating: 18th Century provenance: Europe, Octagonal and round, smoothbore, two-stage, 15 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle, with rings at the girdle; the first segment richly decorated with carving and a large mask surmounting three stripes with grotesque creatures; the second part with small racemes decorations and thin, dorsal rib. The tang with decorations that continue the design of the barrel and provided with a saddle sight. Lock with raceme carvings both on the lock plate and the cock, the back of the batterie en suite. The wooden stock with heavy signs of use and time but apparently without cracks, the front segment with remains of checkering. Beautiful iron mounts decorated with racemes and spirals in relief, the counterplate engraved. The butt-plate with tangs that tend to slip off. dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Straight, tipped, single-and short false-edged blade, with cylindrical back, engraved with trophies, racemes, Savoy coat of arms and crowned eagle with open wings on both sides, along half of its length. Marked 'F. HOERSTER' from Solingen at the base. Gilded-brass hilt worked as a wing. Long cap, shaped as an eagle's head with crown-shaped button and the eyes made of red glass. Black hilt with brass wire binding. Leather scabbard, brass mounts. Two rings. The sword-knot with various signs of time and use, and gilded threads clutches. length 95 cm.
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Spain, Curved, single-and false-edged blade with wide fuller at the center and groove at the back, writing 'POR MI LEY Y POR MI REY' at the base, on both sides. Brass hilt with pierced quillon and pommel with plumed and engraved helmet. Deer-horn hilt. length 94 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Italy, Interesting brass, two-stage, 9,8 mm cal. barrel, octagonal and round, with rings and carved frame at the girdle, foresight at the nozzle. Breech and tang in one iron block. Forward spring lock with small floral engravings and lock plate signed 'Pulini F.' Working mechanics but the first snap does not keep the safety lock on. Wooden half stock with boar's head carving at the bottom of the butt side and checkered segments. Smooth brass mounts. Remains of a horn-tipped light wooden ramrod and cartridge extractor. length 91,5 cm.
dating: 17th Century provenance: Italy, Light, wooden lance with thin, neck-lacquered (missing parts), iron tip, the first part shaped as a truncated cone, smooth and painted in gold with trophies, a bird and floral motifs (missing parts), after a shortened segment it is cylindrical and with longitudinal grooves, then it decreases in wideness towards the tip, with remains of gold painting. The quintain has Roman origins, and it was played during military trainings. In 17th Century three variants of the play were introduced, including the ring joust in which this kind of lance was used. The knight that would take off more rings won. See a very similar item at Odescalchi Museum, in Rome. height 268.5 cm.
dating: 1910 provenance: Austria, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade, tip, finely ornamented at the first part with polished engravings on a damask background: at the third side inscription with date 'Offiziers - Preisschiessen Regiment Klagenfurt 1910' in a floral frame and with a beautiful trophy at the base, at the fourth side another trophy and a motto; the second half with decorative damask pattern. Tank with Weyersberg in Solingen marking and 'EISENHAUER'. Iron hilt with remains of nickel plating, pierced and engraved guard featuring the imperial eagle, ribbed cap, handle with fish-skin and wire binding. Nickel-plated iron scabbard. length 94,2 cm.
