HENDRIX - BAND OF GYPSYS - The critically acclaimed live album was the first Jimi Hendrix release without the supporting members of the Jimi Hendrix experience. This copy (2406 002, Ex+/Ex) is the original issue of the UK release in 1970. It features the 'puppet sleeve' which was later withdrawn amidst a degree of controversy as the four, unflattering likenesses of Hendrix, John Peel, Bob Dylan and Brian Jones seemingly had no connection to each other or the record. Eventually, this cover was replaced by the more familiar picture of Jimi playing the guitar live. This lot offers a fantastic opportunity to own a great condition version of the original release - a piece of musical history!
JIMI HENDRIX - ELECTRIC LADYLAND - This version of Electric Ladyland is extremely rare and highly sought after - a must have for the discerning record collector! As with many releases from the time there are a wide variety of issues and pressings and sometimes it is difficult to know what release you have on your hands. Here, there is absolutely no doubt. This is the first press with the 'Version 1' gatefold sleeve with the rare, but easily identifiable, misprint blue text on the sleeve. It features the controversial 'nude women' cover with portraits of Hendrix and Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding on the inner cover. Overall the album cover and both records are in VG+ condition, the catalogue number is 613008. Widely regarded as his finest work, this version of this album is arguably the zenith of all Hendrix releases. With interest guaranteed make sure you place a bid!
JIMI HENDRIX - ARE YOU EXPERIENCED - In the complete pantheon of musical releases, this album is regarded as one of the greatest debuts of all time with Hendrix well and truly announcing himself on the global stage. With the faithful backing of Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding, this album gave Hendrix the platform to show his mercurial talent. This is the first UK issue (612 001) and incidentally, also the first ever release on Track Records. The original pressing of the original Hendrix album is sure to generate a hive of interest, especially in the outstanding condition it is in - Ex+/Ex. Iconic history rarely comes so well preserved.

The condition is G to VG with some shadowing marks on one of the sides.
THE SHADOWS - MIDNIGHT ACETATE - An extremely rare acetate recording of the early 1961 instrumental 'Midnight'. The track first featured on the B side of the B side to FBI in February 1961, and is a wonderful slow tempo instrumental that is a great indication of the sound that they would become famed for. The recording is issued by Emidisc as a 7" recording on a 10" disc. With hand written titles and green text showing 'Emidisc Made In Great Britain Distributing Organisation, EMI Sales & Service Ltd.
