Rare Double-barrel percussion shotgun, Eusebio Zuloaga, royal gunsmith, Spain, mid-19th century. The barrels of this gun and all metal parts are richly decorated with etching in the form of floral decoration and hunting scenes. The inscription on the barrels in Gothic script "Zuloaga, Arcabucero de S.M." The butt of the gun is decorated with carved floral decoration. Eusebio Zuloaga was one of the greatest advocates of the modern decorative damascene technique, thanks to preparation of the surface for inlay by means of fine undercut hammering. He achieved international fame. He learned the arms trade in the family, first of all with his uncle Ram—n in Placencia de las Armas, and later with his father, in Madrid. He did time as an apprentice at the workshop of Jean Lepage in Paris and again in Saint-etienne (1830-32). In 1834 he is named Major Lieutenant Armorer by the Royal Armory, and in 1844, Royal Arquebusier, by Queen Isabel II. Having opened his workshop in Madrid in 1842, in 1848 he opened another in Eibar. A wonderful collectible shotgun in good condition. Length 123 cm..

Diploma in the form of parchment letterhead with the stamp of the Military Department of the French Republic with the signature of the First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte and Louis Alexandre Berthier, who, when Napoleon was proclaimed Emperor, was elevated to the rank of Marshal of France and received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor. The document is stamped "IN THE NAME OF THE FRENCH PEOPLE". The document contains basic biographical data and service records of the holder. The document is dated in Paris, 1803, during the Consulate, issued by the Ministry of War of the French Republic on the granting of the title of General of the Brigade Louis Joseph August Gabriel Saint-Laurent for his loyalty, valor and experience. Saint Laurent's military honors : His first military honors came when he became a lieutenant in an artillery regiment in Metz in 1781. He served in a French squadron off the coast of Spain 1782-1783. In 1789, Saint Laurent was promoted to the rank of Kapellmeister in the 2nd Foot Artillery, and in 1791 he served in the garrison of Besancon. Also served in the Army of the Interior 1792-1793. Became director of artillery at Rennes 1795. In 1796 he was director of the artillery park of the Army of the Interior and then served in the 1st Military Division. In August 1803, Saint Laurent was promoted to brigadier general. Document condition : excellent. Height : 49cm. Width : 36cm.

Gorgeous Napoleonic Saber for Cavalry Officer, An XI, France, First Empire, Early 19th century. The steel curved blade has one wide fuller on each side. The brass hilt covers half the grip and divides in three wavy quillons which end at the cross-guard. The cross-guard includes an almond-shape applique designed to connect the scabbard to the hilt. The wooden handle is covered with engraved geometric designs and has cracks from age. The steel scabbard mounts brass fittings with decor in fine condition. A beautiful collectible saber from the Napoleonic era. Length 104 cm.

The colophon is signed, handwritten in the style of t || DALA'IL AL-KHAYRAT, AL-JAZULI (D. 1465), OTTOMAANS TURKIJE, 20STE EEUW manuscript op papier op groot formaat, met telkens 11 lijnen per pagina geschreven in Naskh schrift. De eerste pagina is versierd met goudstift en gekleurde stippen met titels in rood Thuluth schrift, hierna twee pagina's met verschillende namen voor Allah en Muhammad, gevolgd door twee bijgekleurde tekeningen van Mekka en Medina. De colofon is getekend, handgeschreven in de stijl van de bekende Ottomaanse kalligraaf Hafiz Othoman. In een mooi gedecoreerde en gelakte lederen kaft - 103 x 77 cm

'Short snorter' for 12th November 1944, a Romanian 5000 lei banknote from British diplomat, Sir John Helier Le Rougetel KCMG MC (1894 – 1975), signed by Le Rougetel, King Michael I of Romania (1921 - 2017), Brigadier General C.V.R. Schuyler USA (1900 – 1993), Burton Yost Berry (1901 – 1985), First Lieutenant Fred Marchman USA? Together with three other signatures unidentified by us and worthy of research. King Michael of Romania reigned twice, the second reign was between 1940 and 1947 when he was forced to abdicate by the communist party of Romania. From 1944 to 1946 Le Rougetel was Political Representative in Romania, before receiving his first ambassadorial posting to Tehran in 1946. Le Rougetel later served as British Ambassador to Belgium (1950-1) and as a High Commissioner to South Africa (1951-5). He retired in 1955, having been made a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George. In the autumn of 1944, Schuyler was assigned to Bucharest, Romania, as a U.S. military representative on the Allied (British, U.S. and Russian) Control Commission. The Commission was created to administer the terms of the Romanian Armistice Agreement. Burton Yost Berry (1901 – 1985) was an American diplomat and art collector, he served as Consul to Bucharest in 1944. Provenance: Gifted to the vendor by Lady Mary Le Rougetel.
