Taxidermy: New Zealand Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra), circa 1936, by Peter Spicer & Sons, Taxidermy, Leamington, adult male shoulder mount looking slightly to the left, glass eyes, from the wall 40cm, height 62cm, mounted upon a typical oak shaped shield, Peter Spicer impressed mark to verso, bearing copper shield - ''Chamois, MT. Cook, New Zealand, A.G.H.P, 1936''. Alpine chamois arrived in New Zealand in 1907 as a gift from the Austrian Emperor, Franz Joseph I in exchange for specimens of living ferns, rare birds and lizards. Mr Albert E.L. Bertling, formerly head keeper of the Zoological Society's Gardens, Regents Park, London, accepted an invitation from the New Zealand Government to deliver a consignment of chamois (two bucks and six does) to the colony. They arrived in Wellington, New Zealand, on 23 January 1907, on board the ''SS Turakina''. From Wellington the chamois were transhipped to the ''Manaroa'' and conveyed to Lyttelton, then by rail to Fairlie in South Canterbury and a four-day horse trek to Mount Cook. The first surviving releases were made in the Aoraki / Mount Cook region and these animals gradually spread over much of the South Island.. left ear tip damaged
1921 LEEDS UNITED / ARTHUR FAIRCLOUGH A rare piece of memorabilia presented to Leeds United's first Football League manager Arthur Fairclough in 1925. An extendable telescope housed in it's original wooden storage box by Ross of London, measuring 19" (48 cm) and engraved ''1925 Football League Arthur Fairclough Leeds United F.C.'' Fairclough brought League Football back to the City after guiding them to promotion from the Midland Counties League in the reformed clubs first season the year before in 1920. Fairclough stayed on as Leeds manager until 1927 and honours included winning the Second Division Championship in 1924. Generally good

Ane issue of the AC Milan & Inter Milan club newspaper ''MILAN-INTER'' which was issued before either leg of the European Cup ties and includes previews with front page headline coverage plus lists the full team line-ups at the bottom of the front cover, inside includes the history of Glasgow Rangers plus pen-pictures of the Glasgow Rangers probable starting XI and further match previews. The ''Milan-Inter'' newspaper was issued prior to the Milan clubs official magazines ''Inter Club'' & ''Forza Milan'' been produced in 1962. 8-page issue, the first four pages club news about AC Milan and the back four with Inter club news. Generally good

Generally good
1958 FIFA WORLD CUP SWEDEN The 196-page report published in Brazil by ''A Gazeta Ilustrada'' in July 1958 a few days after the tournament ended. This is a Monumental edition, titled: ''VI CAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE FUTBOL'' published in Portuguese and celebrates Brazil winning the FIFA World Cup for the very first time after defeating Sweden 5-2 in Solna. Includes colour covers and an extensive report of the FIFA World Cup including full match reports for all 35 matches played (including many pictures and full team line-ups for each game) with extensive Final coverage over full 18 -pages. Generally good
BLACKPOOL V LINCOLN CITY 1911 Sixteen page programme for Blackpool Reserves at home v. Lincoln City 9/9/1911. The first home match in this season was against Hull City played on 2/9/1911, however the programme notes state that the programmes did not arrive in time for the match. Therefore this was the first home programme for season 1911/12. Generally good

1927 FA CUP FINAL / ARSENAL V CARDIFF CITY Programme for the first time the FA Cup left England, when Cardiff won 1-0. The programme is in good condition, no tears, no creases, no splits on the spine, very minor rust to the staples. One pencil team change. Also includes a full page from the Daily Express 23/4/1927 with a preview of the match and expected team line-ups and portraits of the players with the headline "The English Cup - Why Cardiff Should Win". Good
