CHESTER - NORTHWICH 1927 Chester FC home programme v Northwich Victoria, 12/11/1927, Cheshire League, first team game as Chester only became members of the League in 1931 when they replaced Nelson. Four page issue, several tears to edges and a piece torn off bottom outside edge corner of cover but only adverts affected. Only fair

Rare issue of the daily Spanish language football magazine ''DICEN'' which previews the first leg in Argentina. Includes team line-ups on the central pages, history of the previous Intercontinental Cup encounters with team line-ups for each game, team group photo's of both Estudiantes and United etc. Generally good
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Twelve home programmes: 8 x 1950/1 Championship v. Liverpool, Sheff. Weds., Chelsea, Charlton, Derby, Stoke, Burnley and Sunderland with only Stoke in generally good condition. All of the others are sub-standard with faults. Plus Portsmouth 51/2, Racing Paris 53/4, Burnley 54/5 and Everton 58/9 in which Spurs won 10-4 (Bill Nicholson first game as manager) with minor paper loss on the right. Fair at best
RAITH ROVERS MEDAL 1908 Scottish Second Division Champions Medal awarded to John Ness of Raith Rovers who won the title by 3 points from Dumbarton and Ayr. The gold hall marked medal has the inscription on the reverse "S.F.L Championship 2nd Division won by Raith Rovers FC 1907-08 John Ness". Raith were the first Fife team to be elected to the Scottish Football League but they declined promotion despite winning the Second Division and they finished runners up in each of the next two seasons accepting promotion in 1909-10. JAKE LA MOTTA 1980 Colorized 12” x 8” photo, showing an iconic image of the late Jake La Motta standing over Sugar Ray Robinson as he goes through the ropes during an epic fight in 1973, although Robinson recovered La Motta defeated ‘Sugar’ on points, handing the Champion his first ever loss, signed in silver marker by La Motta. Slight crease on one edge. Generally good
SCUNTHORPE - NEW BRIGHTON 50-51 Scunthorpe home programme v New Brighton, 7/4/51, first Football League season for Scunthorpe and the final season for New Brighton who were voted out a few weeks later and replaced by Workington. This result certainly did nothing to help New Brighton as they lost 6-0, minor writing inside , plus score, scorers. Fair-generally good
1934 WORLD CUP Very good condition programme for the 1934 World Cup Tournament held in Italy and is the official programme published by FIFA and FIGC (Italian FA Organising Committee). It has 64 pages plus colourful front and back covers with the flags of all the competing nations adorning the covers. The inside pages include details and pictures of the stadiums to be used, team group[ photographs and squad details, fixture schedules, details of match officials, qualifiers scores, results of the 1930 Tournament held in Uruguay ( the first World Cup Finals), laws of the competition and many pictures. Condition is very good , indeed probably the best condition programme for the Tournament that we have seen to date. Good
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Away programme/ club magazine for the UEFA Cup Semi-Final in Yugoslavia 1983/4 season against Hajduk Split. The first 8 pages relate to the UEFA Cup. Front and back covers are slightly creased and very small paper loss from the top left hand corner of the back page. Generally good
MAN CITY - MAN UTD 1973 Two Dawn First Day Covers issued to celebrate 50 years for City at Maine Road. One is postmarked 1/12/73 and issued for the postponed game v Man Utd. Over-franked "Historical Cover" and signed by Denis Law who was playing for City at the time. The other also v Man Utd dated 1/12/73 (the match was postponed) Good
MAN UTD - MAN CITY Three First Day Covers 1 x Man City 0-3 Man Utd 14/9/85, signed by Sammy McIlroy and 2 x Dawn First Day Covers produced to commemorate, Man City 5-1 Man Utd 23/9/89 signed by David Oldfield scorer of 2 City goals and Man Utd 1-1 Man City 3/2/90 signed by City's Ian Brightwell. Good
CRICKET - ANDREW HALL Official South African Cricket Association Commemorative limited edition Gunn and Moore full size bat signed by the South African and Australian teams who took part in the famous '438' 50 over's ODI at Johannesburg, 12th March 2006. Batting first Australia scored a seemingly unbeatable 434/4 in their 50 over's, Ponting scoring 164. However South Africa responded with a record breaking 438/9 winning off the penultimate ball. This was the highest aggregate of runs scored in a ODI and the bat was presented to South African team member Andrew Hall by the SACA. 28 signatures in total, 14 from each side and they are all signed in black marker on the bat surface which was oiled before the signatures. Good
MAN CITY - LEAGUE CUP Six programmes from the early days of the Football League Cup involving Manchester City, homes v Stockport 60/61 ( first City League Cup match), 3 x 4 page issues v Blackpool 62/3 (second replay), v Luton 62/3 and v Mansfield 64/5 (no token) plus both legs of the 63/4 Semi-Final v Stoke. Most have scores noted etc, occasional foxing. Fair-generally good
MAN CITY - MAN UTD 1925 Full size Manchester City home programme v Manchester United, 2/12/1925, Lancashire Cup second Round, both sides played their first teams as was the custom at the time, and this is a scarce midweek programme with a 2-20pm kick off in December. Pencil changes, slight marks. Generally good
LINCOLN DISTRESSED Three programmes from 46/7 which all have faults, home games v Tranmere and Hartlepools which have pieces torn off, the Hartlepools issue has a piece off the top right corner of the cover but is otherwise fair-generally good, the Tranmere has a large piece off front cover torn off and a smaller piece off the back cover, the third programme is the opening game of the season , away at Hull, which was also Hull's first game at their new Boothferry Park ground which has punch-holes, fold and creasing. LUTON TOWN 1936-1938 Ledger with official Luton Town heading on each page. Each page has the handwritten Luton team for the First team and Reserve team home and away games plus score, scorers, name of competition, usually Division 3 South or London Combination, time of kick off and occasionally the name of the reserve . The seasons for which the teams are noted on a page by page, match by match basis are 1936-37 and 1937-38, 230 numbered pages each with a Luton team listed as per above.Includes practice match 14/8/1937 and 21/8/1937, friendly games also covered. At one time this is likely to have been part of the club archives. Good

A good number of other items included and well worth a look. Some faults but most items are generally good. As described

BLACKBURN 58-9 Set of 24 Blackburn home programmes, 58/9, 21 x League (all First Division), 2 x Cup v Leyton Orient and Burnley and friendly v Werder Bremen. In addition the Cup second replay, Bolton v Preston at Ewood Park is included. Some folds etc, issue v Leeds has a few relatively minor ink marks but most are generally good. Fair-generally good

Includes Western Australian FA Single Card ''Programme of matches'' for the two opening matches of the tour games v Metropolitan X1 at Subiaco & first test match v Western Australia played 7-9 May. Also includes 4-page card programme produced the for Complimentary ''Smoke Night'' in Melbourne held after the first test match v Australia on 23 May. Plus English Soccer Representative Teams Tour of Australia 1925 Itinerary programme (May 27 to June 9 1925, produced by the South Wales & Metropolitan FA. Also includes single card Menu dated 18 June for post match dinner held by Thistle Football Club after England's fourth teat match with Australia in Sydney plus a lavish 6-page fold out Menu dated June 21 which was held in Southport, Queensland post match after defeating Parramatta 6-1. Good
