Robert Bryan Charles Neale M.B.E.  R.A. (British, 1930), 'Armour', sculpture in metal, mounted on a circular concrete plinth, full height including plinth approximately 183cm, (excluding a loose hemet section)Note: Born in the Isle of Man capital, Douglas, Kneale studied painting at the Douglas School of Art, from which he graduated in 1947, and then moved to London, to study at the Royal Academy Schools. In 1948, he won the Rome Prize and spent some time living in Italy. During the 1950s, he learned welding, and in 1960 took to sculpture in preference to painting, and became a teacher.He has taught at Hornsey College of Art and Design, and from 1963 until his retirement from teaching in 1995 he taught sculpture at the Royal College of Art.  He was also Master and later Professor of Sculpture at the Royal Academy between 1982 and 1990.  In addition to his teaching, numerous exhibitions of his own painting and sculpture work have been held since 1953 and his works are displayed in countries such as Australia, Brazil, New Zealand and the United States.  In the USA, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City includes examples of his work amongst its public collections.He was awarded a Leverhulme Trust Prize in 1952, as well as the Daily Express Young Painters' Prize (1955) and an Arts Council Purchase Award (1969).  After a successful solo show at the Whitechapel Gallery in 1966, Kneale became the first abstract sculptor to be elected a Royal Academician in 1974. He accepted the honour only on the condition that he be allowed to curate a show of contemporary sculpture which resulted in a groundbreaking survey of some of the period's most exciting sculptors.Kneale is the younger brother of the screenwriter Nigel Kneale (1922-2006), best known for his Quatermass television serials. Kneale illustrated the covers for Penguin Books' releases of his elder brother's Quatermass scripts in 1960.  He was also responsible for a painting of a lobster from which BBC special effects designers Bernard Wilkie and Jack Kine drew their inspiration for the Martian creatures they constructed for Quatermass and the Pit (1958-59).He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2019 New Year Honours for services to British Art. (Source: Wikipedia) Note: Artist Resale Rights apply

Beatles; four signatures, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, signed in biro on a Kingston Upon Hull City Police Report paper. Provence; the vendors father, P.C. Roland Coleman, was a policeman on duty when the Beatles played, he cannot remember which gig it was; the 23rd November 1963 or the 16th October 1964, he went back stage and asked for the autographs for his niece who was in the audience. 24th November 1963 was The Beatles' third performance in Hull, but their first at the ABC Cinema. It was the 20th date of their 1963 Autumn Tour, throughout which they played a standard set of 10 songs: I Saw Her Standing There, From Me To You, All My Loving, You Really Got A Hold On Me, Roll Over Beethoven, Boys, Till There Was You, She Loves You, Money (That's What I Want) and Twist And Shout. 16th October 1964 was the seventh date of The Beatles' 1964 British tour. The Beatles performed two concerts, for which they were paid £850. Their set throughout the tour contained 10 songs: Twist And Shout, Money (That's What I Want), Can't Buy Me Love, Things We Said Today, I'm Happy Just To Dance With You, I Should Have Known Better, If I Fell, I Wanna Be Your Man, A Hard Day's Night and Long Tall Sally. The support acts on the tour were The Rustiks, Sounds Incorporated, Michael Haslam, The Remo Four, Tommy Quickly and Mary Wells, and the compère was Bob Bain. The evening's two shows began at 6.15pm and 8.30pm.

Three WW2 Lancaster veterans cover collection. Three RAF flown covers produced in 2003 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Hamburg 1943. There were varieties produced signed by veterans of the raid and only 200 of each were signed. There is a career biography of each signatory printed on the cover. These were flown twice on a Vickers VC10 in the Queens Flypast 14 June 2003 and then reflown in Avro Lancaster PA474 of the Battle of Britain memorial flight. The full details are printed on the back of each cover. It has a nice Lancaster Special postmark BFPS 2750. Flt Lt H Hoey DFM flew on the raid in a Lancaster of 12 Squadron on 24/25 July and 27/28 as Navigator. He completed his first tour in 1944. Sqn Ldr D Butler DFC flew on the raid as Pilot in a Lancaster of with 12 Squadron on 24/25 July as Rear Gunner. He completed two tours in 1944 ending with 171 Halifax Squadron. Sqn Ldr A Heyworth DFC flew on the raid as Pilot in a Lancaster of with 12 Squadron on 24/25 July 29/30 and 2/3 August, this was his second tour. He was later Chief Test Pilot for Rolls Royce 1955. This is a single stamp cover bearing the years 1977 - 2015. 1977 is when the first Star Wars film was released and 2015 is the release year for The Force Awakens. The cover bears a single stamp from the set released by the Royal Mail this year and we have four different stamp variations to offer. Each single stamp has a film scene label attached to it from the Lucas film archives.
