A figured walnut and feather banded tea or side table in William & Mary style, first half 20th century, possibly from Charles Tozer, with a frieze drawer to each short end, 75cm high, 89cm wide, 34cm deep Charles Tozer was a retailer of high quality revivalist furniture although he seems to have specialised in walnut pieces in the early 18th century style and was established at 25 Brook Street London from the early 20th century and traded into the 1960s.

A pair of Viennese mahogany and upholstered long benches, possibly by Josef Danhauser, 19th century, the reverse of each branded TT beneath a crown together with the painted inscription III. 231.1.E1845 together with the inventory label St.E.11664, one with a paper label with hand written inscription Schloss Ste Treppe P., each 45cm high, 222cm wide, 67cm deep Provenance: Sotheby's 'Die Furstliche Sammlung Thurn and Taxis', Sotheby's, Shloss St. Emmeram, Regensburg, 19-21 October 1993, lot 3654 The Princely House of Thurn und Taxis is a German noble family who have resided at Schloss Regensberg, since 1748, whose impressive art collection was spread across ninety-nine schlosses in 1920. They made their fortune by establishing the first postal service between Brussels and Vienna in the 15th century. Having been first appointed by Charles V their influence continued throughout the Holy Roman Empire and beyond.
A flame mahogany extending dining table in William IV style, late 20th/early 21st century, probably retailed by Theodore Alexander, after the pattern by Robert Jupe, the top on capstan action and eight additional leaf insertions, 75cm high, 158cm diameter (un-extended), 214cm diameter (extended), together with the bespoke cabinet for the additional leaves, of mitre shape and baize lined, 115cm high Provenance: Hambrook House, Gloucestershire The Property of Graeme Alexander and Scott Carlton See Christopher Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, 1996, pages 283-286 for a number of extending dining tables by Robert Jupe. Robert Jupe was first granted his patent for a circular extending dining table with segmented top in March 1835. The originals were designed not only to extend to a larger circle but by inserting a few of the additional leaves the table could be made into an oval or oblong table. The first such tables were produced by the firm of John Johnstone of New Bond Street (subsequently Johnstone & Jeanes).

Today Winsor & Newton remains by Appointment to HRH the Prince of Wales, and may display The Prince of Wales's coat of arms.
