Attributed to Fisher Payne; a first edition, 'Synopsis of Heraldry', printed for L. Curtis, near Fleetbridge and T. Simmons at the Prince's Arms in Ludgate Street, 1682, frontispiece by F.H. Van. Houe. A work of the short and easy way for the perfect attaining of the art of heraldry containing approx 300 coats of arms and approx fifty crests engraved on copper plates, and the achievements of the kings of England since King Egbert of the Saxon Race. The paternal coats of the nobility of England, with a list of Knights of the Garter, the arms of the archiepiscopal, and episcopal sees; and the two universities. and the several colledges in them; and the inns of court, and other houses of law in London; with some hundreds of gentlemen's coats, all truly blazoned. To which is added an alphabetical table for the ready finding of any names whose coat is herein. The first part of the book includes the frontispiece plus a further 33 plates showing multiple coats of arms mostly containing either nine or twelve to a single leaf, the second part with three separate title pages in all, the first of which is, 'The achievement of the Kings of England since King Egbert'. CONDITION REPORT Obvious age related wear and tear, originally maroon calf but now very worn, Moroccan spine with title label in gilt and London 1682 in gilt, some lifting of the spine, no missing pages, renewed marbled pages to the front with one owners book plate for Thomas Pearson, similar to the back with original owners name Thomas Pearson

Ordered for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, it is still the go-to stacking chair for large interior events, museums and cultural centres around the world. Rena studied first as an architect at Cambridge before completing an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art in London in 1995.His work consists of thick earthenware, press-moulded, oversize, vessel forms with precise, smooth finishes. The clay body is often deeply stained with colour, sometimes creating violently contrasting interiors and exteriors to the vessels, and each piece is finished by sanding and polishing.Condition report: Some rubbing to the gold and body - otherwise fair condition.

An Arts and Crafts oak wardrobe,by Brynmawr Furniture Makers Ltd., with panelled cupboards and sides, opening to reveal two sections with shelves, over a hanging space with a shoe rack, with five drawers to the right-hand side, the door fixed with a mirror and tie rail, unmarked, on a stand, 112cm wide54cm deep176cm highBrynmawr Furniture Makers Ltd was a furniture manufacturing company set up amid the Great Depression as part of the Brynmawr Experiment in Brynmawr, Wales. Following the General Strike 1926, Brynmawr had been particularly badly affected and was left with high levels of unemployment. Brynmawr Furniture Makers factory was set up as part of Quaker-led effort to tackle the issues starting in 1929 it closed in 1939.A small group of Quakers arrived in Brynmawr in 1928-9 intending to provide relief supplies and encourage social work. The group was led by Peter Scott, who began developing ways to encourage industries and employment.These were at first incorporated as Brynmawr and Clydach Valleys Ltd and included knitting, Welsh tweed, boot-making, and furniture-making in a former boot factory.Condition report: An area to the base of the left side is missing some of the wood pieces - image attatched. The base is slightly loose. Otherwise good overall.
