A BRACE OF 1751 PATTERN HUNTINGDON MILITIA HANGERS, the first with 63cm slightly curved fullered blade, stamped SH within an incised wolf emblem, regulation brass three-bar hilt with heart shaped guard, the underside of the guard engraved M. HUNTINGDON and 2/13, spirally fluted brass grip, spherical pommel, the second of similar proportions but no marking to the blade, similarly marked to the Huntingdon Militia, bearing the rack number 3/16. A RARE 1ST DRAGOON GUARDS OFFICER'S SWORD SUITE TO THE ELMSALL FAMILY, comprising a scarce Celtic hilt sword with 86cm curved pipe backed blade with recurving spear point, regulation steel hilt with Celtic decorated bowl guard, wire bound fish skin grip, some losses, stepped flattened pommel, contained in its steel scabbard, together with its companion Heavy Cavalry Officer's 1796 Pattern Ladder Hilted sword, 86cm curved pipe backed blade with spear point, etched with a maker's panel at the forte for Brander & Potts, regulation pierced steel hilt, wire bound fishskin grip, leather liner, contained in its steel scabbard, together with a 1796 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Officer's dress of "Boatshell" sword, 80.5cm fullered blade, regulation copper gilt hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard, spherical pommel, silver wire bound grip, contained in its steel scabbard and a related 1854 Pattern Royal Engineer's NCO's sword, of characteristic Gothic hilt form and with various Ordnance stamps to include regimental markings for the Royal Engineers, scored through, and the 3rd Volunteer Battalion Devons, contained in its field service scabbard. (4) When purchased by the Vendor it was stated that these four swords had formerly belonged to the Elmsall family. While there is no documentary proof or engraved crest or initials the Royal Engineer's sword provides a minor piece of corroboration in as much as William Edward de Cardonell Elmsall served with the Royal Engineers during the First World War. AN 1822 PATTERN GENERAL OFFICER'S SWORD TO GENERAL GAIRDNER OF THE 14TH AND 16TH BENGAL NATIVE INFANTRY, 86cm slightly curved pipe-backed blade with spear point, etched with crowned VR cyphers, laurel wreaths, owner's crest and initials, regulation gilt Gothic hilt incorporating crowned crossed sword and baton within a laurel wreath, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard, engraved Captn & Adjt W. J. GAIRDNER from Col. U. Yule 1823. As a junior officer William John Gairdner served with the Native Infantry in operations in the Oudh during 1813 and 1814 - Rewah and Etah, Nepal War and Bareilly during 1816, The Third Mahrattan War, First Burma War, Gwalior Operations and the First Sikh War. Entitled to C.B, Army of India Medal 1799-1826 Nepal and Ava, Maharajpoor Star and the Sutlej Medal.

A FIRST PATTERN FAIRBAIRN SYKES COMMANDO DAGGER OR FIGHTING KNIFE, 17cm flattened diamond section blade sharpened for use, the forte etched with a panel for WILKINSON SWORD, and another THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE, regulation chequered and plated brass hilt, contained in its white metal mounted leather scabbard.
A FIRST PATTERN LUFTWAFFE OFFICER'S DAGGER, 31cm flattened diamond section blade by WKC, regulation plated hilt with wire bound leather covered grip, contained in its plated mounted blue leather wrapped steel scabbard, complete with hanging chain. A label attached reads Heirloom No. 8 GERMAN SWORD D R A HOTCHKIS Captured at BLECHEDE on the River Elbe April 1945. Blechede is probably Bleckede.
A CLEAN FIRST MODEL 1853 PATTERN THREE-BAND ENFIELD PERCUSSION RIFLE MUSKET, 39inch sighted rifled barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights and bearing a variety of Inspector's stamps and proof marks at the breech, border engraved lock engraved 1855 over TOWER and with a crown over VR at the tail, also bearing various Inspector's stamps, full stocked with Ordnance marks to the butt, regulation brass and steel mounts, steel ramrod.

A rare vintage 1956 Monaco Grand Prix large format black and white photograph, depicting a Ferrari Thin Wall Special racing car (No 11) with driver Colin Vandervell at Silverstone, just prior to Silverstone's first over-100mph lap. Framed and glazed in a period frame: 68cm x 81cm. Provenance: from the offices of the last Managing Director of Vandervell's in Maidenhead before the company's closure in 1997. GKN bought the company following the death of its founder, Tony Vandervell, in 1965. Consigned from the family.

42nd Street Train Station (NY) Signed Watercolor. 20th c. watercolor/paper. Signed indistinctly lower left. 42nd Street was an elevated express station on the IRT Third Avenue Line in New York City. It had two levels with the lower level (built first) having three tracks. The main line tracks were served by two side platforms. A side platform connected to the southbound platform was used for shuttle service to Grand Central. The upper level was built as part of the Dual Contracts, and had one track and two side platforms over the two local tracks. The station closed entirely on May 12, 1955, with the ending of all service on the Third Avenue El south of 149th Street. Sight Size: 13.25 x 19.25 in. Overall Size: 19 x 25 in.Framed behind glass.
