A VW Beetle based Trike registration number Q612 VAF (Not transferable). Recorded at the DVLA as a "Runninwild", she was first registered on the 1st June 1997 and is recorded as 1200 cc., the last M.O.T. test expired, it seems, on the 18th July 2011. The trike is currently SORN'd and the V5C is now present. We are informed by the vendor that this rather unusual three-wheeled motorcycle was constructed as an R & R project on an Aircraft carrier in the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War, presumably therefore either on H.M.S. Invincible or H.M.S. Hermes. A previous owner is understood to have toured the continent with her, towing a small trailer. As can be seen, she has a Motorcycle-style front end and a VW Beetle air cooled rear end/transaxle/running gear. No engine is included with the trike, but a suitable engine should not prove too difficult to source. The vendor had, at vast expense, commissioned a much modified and balanced four cylinder air-cooled engine for the machine with oversized barrels and pistons, an up-rated camshaft and breathing through twin Dellorto carburettors. He states that very few vehicles, with the exception of potent motorcycles, were quicker off the line. The engine can be made available to the successful purchaser, if required, for £2,500. The trike, which has obviously been road-legal, is sold for restoration/ recommissioning and should make an exciting spring project.As with all motor vehicles sold through our auctions, this machine is sold in its current condition and all vehicles should be inspected in person prior to bidding. Wood, both impressed Crystal Palace Art Union to the socle bases, both with impressed marks and date of 1863 to reverse, the first with additional indistinct hand-inscription to reverse likely reading Alexandra Princess of Denmark.The second and slightly taller 31cm highThe inscription Alexandra Princess of Denmark to the reverse of the Queen Victoria bust may suggest a connection with Alexandra of Denmark who married the Prince of Wales Albert Edward, later King Edward VII, in 1863 and reigned as Queen of England alongside her husband the King-Emperor from 1901-1910.There is a minute firing hairline between the joint of Victoria's left ear and earring, otherwise some minor glaze inclusions, some minor rubbing and light generalised wear as well as dirt but free from chips or other damage.

The paintings have been re-lined. Under UV light there is evidence of cleaning and overpainting, and the varnish has yellowed in some areas. There is a small area of craquelure found within the upper section of the second painting, and more extensive craquelure in areas across the surface of the first. There is a small scuff, caused by frame abrasion, in the lower right-hand corner of the second painting. The paintings are ornately reframed but not glazed. The frames have some minor scuffs and knocks commensurate with age.

There is a small hole in the paper at the top of the central crease and one or two minor tears and surface marks across the sheet. The map is framed and glazed. The frame has some scuffs and knocks.
