Marcel Dassault AD 23 La Patrouille De France special signed to reverse of cover Hans Rossbach Series No 10 of 20, Bloch worked at the French Aeronautics Research Laboratory during World War I and invented a type of aircraft propeller subsequently used by the French army during the conflict. In 1928 Bloch founded the Société des Avions Marcel Bloch aircraft company which produced its first aircraft in 1930.

Eight glossy catalogue sale pages documenting the wartime flying career and multiple decoration citations of the great Bomber Command pilot and Mosquito intruder. Picks ditching in the middle of a minefield in the North Sea, his participation in the Crown Film Unit production Target For Tonight, the Bruneval Raid, command of the first Czech 311 Squadron, Special Duties flights, and the Amiens Raid in which he lost his life. Five photographs include his decorations and full page sketch of Pick by the wartime artist Cuthbert Orde. Excellent historic souvenir of this famous pilots war.

Comprising of; War Medal, India General Service Medal (with Afghanistan NWF 1919 bar), along with 8x of Phippen's wartime football (and other) medals. To include; War Army Temperance Association medal (x2), Victoria Empress Of India medal, hallmarked silver Pensions Hospital AFC Winners medal fob (1922-23), Trades BN Football Cup hallmarked silver and engraved fob (T Phippen Somerset Light Infantry, 1916 Quetta), a similar ' Half Bn' medal also silver,  and a Quetta Residents ' Winners Cup ' silver fob also engraved for T. Phippen, Somerset Light Infantry. A good interesting medal group. Also comes with Phippen's 2x hallmarked silver trophies, obtained whilst on service during the First World War. The first being a Quetta Football League 1915 cup on stand (11cm tall) and the other a larger hallmarked silver cup for the 1st Devision Peshawar Boxing Tournament 1919. (15cm tall).
