1986 Mercedes-Benz 500SL Transmission: manualMileage:136313The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has been manufactured since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German 'Sport Leicht' or 'Sport Light' and was first applied to the 300SL 'Gullwing,' named after the upward-opening doors. The term SL-Class refers to the marketing variations of the vehicle, including the numerous engine configurations spanning five design generations. The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 cars were produced from 1971 through to 1989, being the second longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz after the G-Class. The R107 took the chassis components of the mid-size W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the S-Class (W116) and has become a benchmark of quality throughout the years. This example is presented in blue metallic with beige leather interior and comes with its factory hardtop. It comes with its maintenance booklet, invoices for services and repairs from May 2020 and April 2021 and has a current MoT test certificate which expires in April 2022. Presented in one of the best colour combinations and priced reasonably, this popular and sought after model is still the one to have!Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2004 Maserati 4200 Cambiocorsa Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:80415The Maserati 4200 is an evolution from the previous model 3200 and also a reference to the increase in engine size from 3.2 to 4.2 litres. The Spyder was first unveiled to the public at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show with the Coupé's debut following shortly after at the 2002 Detroit Motor Show. Both cars were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign and were a true four-seater capable of comfortably seating two adults in the back. The naturally aspirated V8 engine was based on a Ferrari unit producing 385hp at 7000rpm; the gearbox is a six-speed unit that was available either as a GT (manual) or CC (Cambiocorsa) using paddle shifters. The Cambiocorsa ('race change' in Italian) is an electro-hydraulic manual transmission that uses a Formula 1 type gearbox with hydraulic operation and electronic management operated by F1-style paddles behind the steering wheel. The gearbox is located at the back of the car with the rear differential giving equal weight distribution between the front and rear of the car and providing better road holding. This stunning example presents extremely well in gleaming black paintwork with a black leather interior. The look is enhanced with grey alloy wheels and red brake calipers. When requested the V8 engine roared into life and we are told the car is a pleasure to drive. The tremendous condition of the car is complemented by a good service history with the majority of the works being completed by either Maserati franchised garages or marque specialists. The most recent service was completed 1,100 miles ago and this Italian thoroughbred has also benefitted from a new clutch. Offered to auction with two sets of keys, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 25th November 2021, this extremely reasonably priced Maserati should generate much interest.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL Transmission: automaticMileage:132449The Mercedes-Benz W126 model was the successor to the earlier W116 line and the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship to officially bear the S-Class name meaning Sonderklasse or 'special class'. The model range also introduced many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations, including the first airbag (supplemental restraint systems), seatbelt pre-tensioners and traction control. Six years of development resulted in the W126 model being introduced at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 1979, with design work on the coupé beginning immediately after. Compared to its predecessor, the new model had a sleeker, lower profile look with more aerodynamic qualities than previous models. All were immensely safe and capable machines that were designed to barrel along the fast lane of the German autobahns all day long without a murmur of protest from car or driver. The flagship Mercedes luxury saloon powered by a smooth eight-cylinder 300bhp engine which gave it a top speed of 150mph and achieving 60 in 7. 5 seconds.Supplied new by the diplomatic sales division of Mercedes-Benz in Piccadilly, London on 12th February 1990, this highly specified 560 long wheel base S- class is presented in metallic blue with full blue leather trim. The vendor has owned and enjoyed the car for over a decade and describes it as luxurious car with great suspension that irons out every bump on the road. This very well spec’d example has the desirable and comfortable electric rear seats. It has taken part in many at Mercedes enthusiast events over the last 5-6 years. Offered with the original stamped service booklet with 15 main dealer stamps from new and 25 stamps in all, the most recent was in 2019 with very few miles covered since. It is supplied with various MoT test certificates, invoices and receipts from previous maintenance and the original owner’s manual. With a strong increase in value, this car is a testament to a bygone era of real luxury Mercedes-Benz, equally at home chauffeuring diplomats as it would, charging across the continent!Guide Price £10,000 - £15,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Eucologe ou Livre d' Église a l' Usage de Paris, contenant l' Office de Tous les Dimanches et Fêtes de l' Année. Nouvelle Édition. FINELY BOUND in highly elaborate panelled plum morocco gilt by Corfmat incorporating red, tan and green morocco onlays and monogram [?]"C.B." stamped on covers, "Rel. Par. Corfmat" stamped in gilt on spine, doublures, red watered silk endpapers, gilt edges (upper inner hinges split, but silk cords holding, joints a little rubbed, minor old repairs at head of spine). Provenance: old illegible inscription on front free endpaper. The British Library contains 7 bindings by Corfmat which are part of the Charles Ramsden Collection of Signed Bindings. They appear in the catalogue with the following note: "According to the directories, J. Corfmat first appears at [Rue] St. Jacques 110 in 1840 where he continued till 1843. He was probably active for considerably longer and a binder of the same name appears at St. Jacques 124 in 1849. His favourite decoration is à la rocaille. Further, there are number of other binders of the same name and approximate period, whom it is difficult to place exactly. Thus there is a second Corfmat in the 1842 Almanach at Galande 37; an E. Corfmat Jeune at St. Sévérin 16 in 1847-1849 and yet another at Zacharie 9 in 1849 (P. Culot, Relieurs et Reliures, 1995 p. 486; J. Fléty, Dictionnaire des Reliures Francais, p. 47 (Corfmat); C. Ramsden, French Bookbinders, p. 57, 226)" (B.L.).
