He was a pioneering motorist, and later published "The Problem of Road Traffic, its Solution," 1914. He eventually returned to his residence at Carrigahorig, Co. Tipperary. He married Delores, the daughter of Col J.F. Hickie of Slevyre, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary, and died in 1947.
