Lot 34

Bryans Works Trickler 1933 Skill Catching Game. The Trickler is a large ball catching machine designed by W.E Bryan of the Bryans Automatic Works. A total of 174 Tricklers were made, and the machine was the first catching type game to be invented by Bryans. The principle of the game is to turn the handle which moves a series of catching cups in order to catch the ball and accumulate a good score. Any balls caught appear in the scoring gallery at the bottom of the game. The score is also totaled automatically on the dial at the top. The Trickler was never designed to payout, however prizes are listed which would have been given by the attendant. Measuring approx. 22" width, 38" height, 8.5" depth. Refurbished and restored by the vendor to a high standard. Please note: All the lots within this auction are located off-site in the West Midlands. Collection will be by appointment from this location which will be made known to buyers upon purchase.

Lot 6

Groetchen Tool Company Columbia 1938 Miniature One Arm Bandit. The Columbia is a compact, silent machine manufactured by Groetchen. The most unique point to make about the Columbia is that it can be converted to any coinage with minor adjustment. Also, to try to overcome machine fraud, the last coins put in the machine were the first to be paid out, therefore a rogue player would get fake coins returned to them. The Columbia was made in many different designs including Gold Award, Cigarette Vendor and Twin Jackpots. Measuring approx. 15.5" width, 18.5" height, 11.5" depth. Refurbished and restored by the vendor to a high standard. Please note: All the lots within this auction are located off-site in the West Midlands. Collection will be by appointment from this location which will be made known to buyers upon purchase.

Lot 51

Mills Bell-o-Matic Bonus Hightop 1948 One Arm Bandit. The Bonus is another machine in the distinctive 'Hightop' range. Mills realised that producing a distinctive model of machine and varying the game slightly can prove more profitable. The Bonus feature is initially activated when the player gets a 'B' on the first reel, next each letter is needed in sequence. When the word 'BONUS' is completed the player receives an 18 coin bonus payout. Measuring approx. 17" width, 26.5" height, 15" depth. Refurbished and restored by the vendor to a high standard. Please note: All the lots within this auction are located off-site in the West Midlands. Collection will be by appointment from this location which will be made known to buyers upon purchase.

Lot 25

Bryans Works Elevenses 1992. The Elevenses was a unique and most popular 'allwin' ever made after being first manufactured in 1955. The many winning cups made the game look 'very easy', however the trick was the use of partially hidden long spring steel deflectors above the cups. This game has three different values of winning cups, and a replay feature, which can all be adjusted. This example was made for the vendor by the late Jim Bryan in 1992. Measuring approx. 18.5 width, 29" height, 7" depth. Refurbished and restored by the vendor to a high standard. Please note: All the lots within this auction are located off-site in the West Midlands. Collection will be by appointment from this location which will be made known to buyers upon purchase.

Lot 72

Genco Manufacturing Company Jiggers Pinball 1932. First released by Genco Manufacturing of Chicago in October 1932. This machine does not appear in much literature, and is the only known example. The machine is a typical early bagatelle, where the player accumulates their score by getting the ball into holes. As with all pinball machines old and new, there was no payout with the game being purely for amusement only. Measuring approx. 19.5" width, 41.5" height, 34" depth. Refurbished and restored by the vendor to a high standard. Please note: All the lots within this auction are located off-site in the West Midlands. Collection will be by appointment from this location which will be made known to buyers upon purchase.
