Matted in black beneath a large reproduction image of the King and above a second, unsigned, commemorative cover featuring an image of the King and brief printed text, postmarked at Windsor, 5th June 1972. Asquith, on one side of a printed correspondence card, Bedford Square, London, 30th September 1924, to 'My dear Strachey'. Asquith states that he is sorry that other business will prevent him attending the Page lecture, remarking 'He was a good friend of mine & a model Ambassador'. An light ink received stamp only very lightly affects the salutation; Henry Campbell-Bannerman (1836-1908) British Prime Minister 1905-08. A.L.S., H. Campbell-Bannerman, one page, 8vo, n.p. (London?), 6th February n.y. (c.1882-84), to Mr. Eykyn, on the blind embossed stationery of the Admiralty. Campbell-Bannerman writes, in full, 'Sir Cooper Key tells me that there is no intention to invite Officers either in the Navy or Marines to volunteer for the present service'. With blank integral leaf (some light traces of former mounting to the verso). VG, 2 Asquith's correspondent is likely to have been Lytton Strachey (1880-1932) English Writer & Critic, a founding member of the Bloomsbury Group. Campbell-Bannerman's correspondent may have been Roger Eykyn (1830-1896) English Politician. Sir Astley Cooper Key (1821-1888) British Admiral, First Naval Lord 1879-85. Henry-Campbell-Bannerman served as Parliamentary and Financial Secretary to the Admiralty from 1882-84.

A vintage folio illustrated German newspaper supplement issued by Bild and dedicated to the film The Misfits (1961) the first page featuring a large image of Montgomery Clift (Perce Howland) alongside Marilyn Monroe (Roslyn Tabor) and with printed text, signed ('Monty Clift') in blue fountain pen ink to a clear area at the centre of the image. Clift has experienced slight pen trouble from a different pen, with a lighter ink, when first attempting to sign the image. Central vertical and horizontal folds and some slight scuffing and a small area of paper loss, only affecting Monroe's image and not the signature. About G
