SEX PISTOLS - ANARCHY IN THE UK 7" (EMI 2566 FACTORY SAMPLE STICKER, CHRIS THOMAS CREDITS). Wicked copy of the ferocious 1976 cut, this one of the first 5000 copies crediting Chris Thomas as the producer on both sides and also containing an original 'Factory Sample Not For Sale' sticker on the A side. The record is in ace Ex+ or archive quality condition showing very few markings of any discernible nature. Complete with original black sleeve in VG+ condition with some light ringwear and one small tear.
NEU - LPs. The first 2 albums from Dusseldorf masters Neu! Titles are S/T (original German Brain Metronome brain 1004 - VG+ a couple of light and minor surface marks/VG+ a few light creases around the edges) and Neu! 2 (original UK pressing on United Artists UAG 29500 - very fine Ex record with only one or two extremely faint paper markings/VG+ some minor foxing and a white sticker on the front top left section).
JOY DIVISION - AN IDEAL FOR LIVING 7" (ENIGMA PSS 139). "This is not a concept EP. It is an enigma." Here it is then, the first EP from Joy Division with this the original (serrated ridge) self-released copy on Enigma presented in brilliant condition. The record is in Ex+ condition showing a couple of very light, faint and wispy paper scuffs on side 1 with very few markings on side 2. Matrix (etched): PSS 139 EP A1 & PSS 139 EP B1 (EG at 3 o'clock position on both sides). The four panel fold-out sleeve is in Ex condition. A very neat example with only slight discolouration, there is some light creasing along the 'top' edge, this is not serious at all and is almost impossible to avoid! Superb copy.
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO - S/T - UK 1967 UNRELEASED A1/B1 2 x SINGLE SIDED LP TEST PRESSING WITH UNRELEASED MIX. An undocumented, unreleased and thought to have not existed 2 x UK single sided test pressing LPs of this landmark album from 1967. This is the Mono version with V 5008 A1 / V5008 B1 matrices. Both records are in solid VG condition with some non feelable scuffs and surface marks, nothing heavier with no scratches to mention. Complete with the original company inner sleeves with relevant information stamped and hand written on them - this copy was pressed on '18 Sep. 1967', but the album was not released in the UK until November 1967, (the record company would still have been finalising the mix and mastering of the LP, hence they moved to the 'earliest matrices' of A2 / B2 and discarded the A1 /B1 plates leaving them unreleased). Here then is for there first (and probably the last) time, the first and earliest version if this pioneering LP.
LED ZEPPELIN - I (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING LP WITH 2ND SLEEVE). Stunning early example of the heralded first eponymous LP from Led Zep (plum Atlantic 588171). The orange lettering 'grey stripe' sleeve is in very strong Ex condition with a little 'bubbling' to the right side laminate on the reverse; elsewhere the sleeve is in top order.
Honda PC50 moped The Honda PC50 was a moped produced by the Honda Motor Company in Japan from May 1969 until February 1977. The PC50, though much smaller and lighter, had some similar features to Honda's popular C50 /70 /90 Super Cub line, with a step-through pressed-steel frame, a fuel tank under the saddle, a chain cover, and optionally equipped with leg shields, A distinctive feature of the PC50 is the use of a four-stroke engine, at a time almost all pedal-equipped mopeds used two-stroke engines. Honda's early development of 50 cc four-stroke engines was a result of Soichiro Honda's dislike of the sharp noise of two-stroke engines. The PC50 used two different engines during its production. The first models featured an overhead camshaft (OHC) engine derived from the Honda P50 moped which used an engine in wheel arrangement. The OHC engine was used from start of PC50 production until April 1970 when the OHC engine gave way to the OHV (pushrod) engine in the same cycle frame. The new model was re-designated PC50K1. Simplicity is an important feature of the PC50 with an automatic clutch driving a fixed ratio, splash lubrication to the engine parts except for the use of a small pump to the parallel valves. The sump has an oil capacity of 0.8 - 0.9 litre for the OHC model and 0.75 litre for the OHV. The engine has an 8.5:1 compression ratio, coil ignition with no advance-retard mechanism, and fixed timing position. The engine output is rated as 1.8 bhp @ 5,700rpm, and carburetion served by a 14mm Keihin with a direct shutter choke operated on a simple side lever. The early OHC models had a generator which developed a total 6V x 15W output, which was uprated to 23W with the introduction of the OHV engine in 1970. Moped drive The Honda PC50 has no footrests or kick-start, it is a proper moped with a fully effective cycling capability engaged by the operation of a lever on the right hand crankcase. When the lever is engaged in drive ‘on’ mode, the drive is taken through a simple single gear and automatic clutch. Chassis The moped chassis is constructed from two pressed-steel halves welded together down the centre-line, with pressed steel leading link fork front, and swingarm rear suspension with telescopic dampers. The under seat 3-litre petrol tank is single sided on the left of the machine. A plastic toolbox takes the position of a dummy fuel tank on the right hand side. Behind the single seat is a useful pressed steel carrier rack which on this model has panniers.
