Barham (R.H.), THE INGOLDSBY LEGENDS OR MIRTH AND MARVELS BY THOMAS INGOLDSBY ESQUIRE, 3 vols, all first editions, later 3/4 brown leather, engraved frontispieces, illustrated title pages, engraved plates throughout, Richard Bentley, London 1840, 1842, 1847 CONDITION REPORT:All three volumes have been relatively recently rebound, and the new bindings are in good tight condition showing minimal shelf wear and un-bumped corners, but some sun fading to spines.  The blocks all show wear to the gilt top edge, and some staining to the front and bottom edges.  The pages will have darkened somewhat over time, but remain generally clean, with only the odd small areas of foxing.

Storr, Grantham' to back endpaper, R. Ackerman, London 1823 CONDITION REPORT:The green leather binding shows shows several small dents clustered two thirds of the way up the centre of the cover, with further small scuffs and minor dents throughout.  The green colour varies in depth and intensity in an apparently random manner.  The spine shows wear to the top and bottom edges, but remains fully attached.  The gilt decoration shows expected rubbing.  The block edges show evidence of previous marbling (now faded).  The pages will have darkened somewhat over time, but remain generally clean with minimal foxing, although there is the odd stain here and there (for example on the General Plan page - see photos).

Wallace & Gromit is a British stop motion comedy franchise created by Nick Park of Aardman Animations. The series consists of four short films and one feature length film, but has spawned numerous spin offs and TV adaptations. The series centres on Wallace, a good natured, eccentric, cheese loving inventor, along with his companion Gromit, a silent yet loyal and intelligent anthropomorphic dog. The first short film, A Grand Day Out, was finished and made public in 1989. Wallace was originally voiced by veteran actor Peter Sallis and later by Ben Whitehead. Peter Sallis collection of two signed small greetings card. Both cards come complete in b their own envelope and are inscribed inside. The front shows beautiful scenery by Stanley Watson. Peter John Sallis OBE (1 February 1921 - 2 June 2017) was a British actor. He is known for his work in television. He was the voice of Wallace in the Academy Award winning Wallace and Gromit films and played Norman Cleggy Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine from its 1973 inception until the final episode in 2010, making him the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes. Additionally, he portrayed Norman Clegg's father in the prequel series First of the Summer Wine.
