Extremely Rare Signed Ed Sheeran You Need Me EP 2009 Handmade by Ed An extremely rare first self-issue of Ed Sheeran’s You Need Me EP. The CD was handmade by Ed at home in Suffolk, titled and signed by him in black felt pen. Ed also created the cover design, scanned in his artwork, printed it out, and cut it to size to fit in the cover sleeve. Ed sold such CDs from his rucksack to pay for his living and travelling expenses, as he busked and gigged in pubs and clubs in East Anglia, London and elsewhere around the UK. The plastic cover has an early orange and black Ed Sheeran sticker on it. The cat pawprint logo was inspired by the Sheeran family cat, Ruskin. Ed sold a later professionally printed version of this EP when he first went to the United States in April 2010. Many were purchased at his first US gig, which was at a Flypoet Spoken Word & Music Showcase evening at the Savoy Entertainment Center, Inglewood, Los Angeles. Donated by: John & Imogen Sheeran
2 Brilliantly Coloured Emma Connolly Paintings Suffolk Sunrise and Suffolk Sunset 2020 This vibrantly coloured dual artwork by the East Anglian artist, Emma Connolly, is inspired by a sunrise and sunset in the Suffolk countryside. Emma’s pictures capture the thrill and awe she experiences when faced by such elemental beauty. She is especially interested in the artistic vision of John Constable, one of the first artists to express their innermost feelings through landscape painting. She comments, ‘I love being immersed in the solitude, peace and comfort of nature. To experience the changing moods of landscape at different times of the day is so enriching. The evolution of the seasons is wonderful. It feeds my creativity. Nature provides me with so much stimulation for my art. I feel so fortunate. I hope that the joy I express in my paintings can be felt by others who see them. This, after all, is the essence of Constable, who wrote that painting is just another word for feeling.’ acrylic, acrylic ink and gold pigment on 300gsm watercolour paper Unframed 49.5 x 69.5cm each painting Donated by: Emma Connolly http://www.emmaconnollyart.com/
Signed Anne-Marie Handwritten Lyrics for Her Song 2002 This song by Anne-Marie, co-written by Ed Sheeran, appeared on her Speak Your Mind album of 2018 and received BRIT Award nominations for Brit Song of the Year and Brit Award for British Video of the Year. 2002 peaked at No 3 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Anne-Marie’s fourth top-ten single and her highest-charting song as a lead artist in the country. Anne-Marie was not initially planning to release 2002 as a single, but finally caved in after constant pestering from Sheeran on Instagram! She has commented, ‘When we first got in the studio together, it was actually Ed on the guitar and that was what I recorded my vocal to… I just always felt like I wanted to have a song with him because he’s like one of my best friends and I just think that connection, even though we’ve got that like friendship outside of music, it would just be like amazing to be in the studio with him. And it was and we wrote the second verse and just recorded it on that day.’ Unframed 29.7 x 42 cm Donated by: Anne Marie www.iamannemarie.com
