LIVERPOOL FC 1892 Exceedingly scarce Liverpool Football Club four page programme, season 1892-1893, v Whiston, 10/12/1892. The match was a Liverpool Reserves game in the Liverpool League and this was certainly a historic season for Liverpool. Liverpool were formed in 1892 when Everton who originally played at Anfield , had a disagreement with the owner of Anfield about rent and left to play at Goodison Park. Anfield was left without a team and as a result the owner set up a new team to play there called Liverpool FC. Liverpool also won the Liverpool and District Cup and were admitted to Division 2 of the Football League in 1893-94 in the place of local rivals Bootle. This programme dated 10th December 1892 is obviously one of the oldest Liverpool FC programmes in existence, has four pages and measures 22cm x 28cm.
