The original Audi C5 RS 6 Quattro was the top-of-the-line user of the Volkswagen Group C5 platform and was initially available as a five-door five-seat Avant - Audi's name for an estate or station wagon. Derived from the Audi C5 A6 the RS6 also shares the aluminium structure from the firewall and forward with the C5 A6s with V8 engines. Official performance figures for the Avant, 0 - 62.1 mph in 4.6 seconds, reaching 124.3 mph in 22.8 seconds. Official figures state an electronically limited top speed 155.3 mph, although most ‘RS’ owners report that the speed limiter is rather liberal on all RS cars, with genuine 'limited' top speeds of 167.8 mph being possible to achieve.First registered in April 2004, this RS6 Avant is finished in the attractive hue of Mugello Blue Pearl with brushed aluminium-effect door mirror covers, over a black cabin with contrasting cream leather upholstery, featuring a black Alcantara headlining, Recaro seats, embossed ‘RS6’ lettering on the seat backs and wood veneer trim inlays. A C5-generation Audi RS6 Avant is an appealing and very well-kept example of the lauded modern classic ‘super estate’, and this one is offered with three owners from new and supported by a detailed Audi main dealer service/maintenance history. Under the bonnet sits a twin-turbocharged 4.2-litre V8, delivering around 444bhp to all four wheels via a five-speed ZF automatic transmission with paddle shift. The factory specification includes front and rear parking sensors, headlamp washers, an Audi Navigation plus media system with satellite navigation, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, electrically adjustable heated front seats, heated rear seats, and a Bose sound system including boot-mounted 6 CD autochanger. The car comes with all the owner’s manuals with a black leather wallet, two key fobs, a hard-back sales brochure, the box for the RS6 keyring, all tools, the V5C, the fully stamped service booklet and an extensive collection of maintenance invoices, MOT certificates and printouts. The 'Big' Healey enjoyed steady development, with the early four-cylinder cars giving way to the 100 Six in 1956, which in turn was replaced by the first of the 3000s in 1959. The new car featured an enlarged 2912cc version of Austin's six-cylinder engine with twin SU carburettors and Girling front disc brakes, offering excellent performance resulting in the model becoming a great success. The 3000 was only referred to as the Mk. I once the Mk. II model was introduced in 1961. Other changes were minor compared to those between the original 100 and the 100-6. The wheelbase and body were unchanged as were the body-styles, a 2+2 or BT7 and a two-seater BN7.This Austin Healey 3000 tri-carb was built in November 1960 and dispatched in December 1961 and is offered for sale in excellent condition, having been recently restored by Retro Marques Ltd. This stunning example was imported from the USA in 1991 having originally been exported to Gibraltar. We believe this Healey was originally ordered by a serviceman who took the car back with him to the States. This classic open topped sports car has an extensive history from its time in the USA, most notably with a lovely, hand-written logbook detailing fuel, work carried out and it was this noteworthy history which attracted it to the present owner some years ago. It appears that there were only two owners before being imported and here in the UK it has been with the second owner since 1994. Fully restored by Retro Marques Ltd. in the UK. All rebuild invoices and a complete photo record are present. This is an excellent opportunity to own a tri-carb model which looks as good today as when it left the factory.
