WWII RAF INTEREST; a good group mounted on two boards for an individual and his crew, the first for 1560159 Warrant Officer & Air Gunner Alfred Henry Bradshaw, a group of five including Bomber Command Medal, two cloth badges including Air Gunner, two cap badges and a pair of buttons - Bradshaw served as Air Gunner on Liberators in the Middle-East with 178 Squadron completing 39 operations during his service; the second a group, the Crew of EW - 106 U - Uncle, Lt. Thomas Elliot Knight (South Africa), J. L. W. Paul, Frederick C. Green, Robert Frederick Allen, Michael J. Holdup and aforementioned Alfred Henry Bradshaw, with associated medals including a South Africa example (unnamed) and original cloth badges and medal bars, annotated with service details - the crew formed after training in 1943 and their service included joining 178 Heavy Bomber Squadron for night raids over Eastern Europe before disbanding in mid-1944; accompanied by Bradshaw's original Flying Log Book and two folders of extensive and meticulous research detailing the flying activities of both Bradshaw and Allen.

Two pairs of Canadian military binoculars comprising a pair stamped C.G.B. 40 MA, 7x50, 11946-C, REL/Canada 1944, with a black leather case, the other with red screwheads and stamped C.G.B. 40 M.A., 7x50, 18806-C, R.E.L/Canada, 1944, with a black leather case (2).Additional InformationThe first pair do focus and the eyepieces do rise and fall although they are very stiff. The view is generally clean when viewed through the binoculars, although there are dirt and other marks visible on the lenses. The case with wear to the black finish throughout. The case may not be original. The case has general age wear throughout, is lacking the long carrying handle but is stamped to the back R.E.L Canada. The second pair are in a much cleaner and better appearance but general wear to the black finish throughout, however this is not as severe as the first pair. They do appear to focus and the eye lenses do rise and fall. The lenses are all grubby and with a possibility of some internal specks of dust here and there. The case is not guaranteed to be original to these binoculars. General light age wear throughout and also stamped to the back R.E.L Canada.

BARR & STROUD; a pair of WWII military binoculars, stamped 7X CF41 Glasgow & London, A.P. MB 1900A, serial no.42467, also stamped British Patent 483220/1934, with adjusters for night vision and anti-glare lens covers, each barrel also marked in yellow with the military arrow, in a leather case, with another pair the same in leather case (second pair af).Additional InformationThe first pair with general age wear rubbing to the black lacquering here and there throughout and also to the support bar down the middle. The yellow arrow heads to the barrels appear to be slightly crude in their execution. Generally grubby here and there throughout. The lenses are lightly grubby but is is possible to see through the binoculars clearly but some specks and grubbiness visible when viewing through. One of the wide barrel ends has some slight knocks which have misshapen the edge slightly. The night adjusters do adjust between three different filters. The case may not be original to the binoculars, does not have a cover and is lacking strap, etc.The second pair rattle when shaken and it is not possible to see anything through the binoculars. The case may not be original to it and it appears that the handle of the lid is a replacement and the strap has a later spring repair. Both cases with general age wear. The mounts to the barrels of both of the eyepieces appear to have general age wear cracking and patina.

TOM FINNEY; the rare England cap from the 'Lion of Vienna' football match between Austria and England played 25th May 1952, with England three lions crest, bullion detail, tassel and embroidered 'Austria 1951 52'; Tom Finney played alongside 'The Lion' Nat Lofthouse in the famous 2-3 away victory in which Lofthouse scored twice, assisted by Finney for the goal during which he was knocked unconscious by an Austrian defender.Tom Finney CBE was a true one-club man, making 569 first-class appearances for his beloved home-town club of Preston North End; he distinguished himself for his country, earning 76 caps and scoring 30 goals for England while providing many assists and was renowned for his accurate deliveries.Provenance: this rare cap is being sold by the nephew of Tom Finney.

BARR & STROUD; a pair of WWII military binoculars stamped 7X CF41 Glasgow & London A.P. No.1900A serial no.74938 British Patent No.435220, each barrel marked with a yellow military arrow and with a leather case, and another similar pair (af) (2).Additional InformationThe first pair the filter lenses do shift from one to the other and the eye lens adjusters do rise and fall happily and they do focus. All lenses with general specks of dirt throughout. General wear to the black detailing, etc, throughout. The case may not be original. Lacking long carrying strap and with general wear throughout. The lid of the leather case is faintly inscribed Captain 65211. The second pair do rattle. It is possible to see through them however the images do not seem to align with one another. Attention will be needed to these as they are not in working order. The leather case is associated and much later in date.

LIVERPOOL SHIPWRECK AND HUMANE SOCIETY; two marine medals, the first in silver awarded to William Alexander Wright of Widnes with following research note 'For gallantly rescuing a boy who had fallen into the River Mersey at Westbank, Widnes, on January 23rd 1904. Wright ran considerable risk, and only succeeded in grasping the boy just has he was being carried through the piles of the new bridge. He also attempted the rescue of a second boy, but after diving three times he had to be assisted out of the water in a very exhausted state', the second in bronze awarded to James Finlinson 'For rescuing a man in peril of drowning in the East Float, Birkenhead, on 30th October 1925'; also to swimming proficiency medals, the first in silver awarded to Charles B. Elder pupil in the Liverpool Institute High School for proficiency with the object of saving life 7th July 1897', and the second in bronze awarded to Samuel Maskel of Lister Drive Modern School 17th December 1954.

Twining & Co Ltd (lid af).Additional InformationHeavy general wear, heavy build up of dirt and dust, crazing, manufacturing imperfections, rubbing to decoration, some touching up and restoration in places. Cannister lid cracked and chipped. Assume losses to moulded sections of these figures, especially the foliage which has some visible losses.
