Royal 8vo. Original green textured & blind-stamped cloth, gilt titling on spine. Folding colour panorama litho frontis to Vol.1 and plate to Vol.II. Two folding maps ( A & B ) as required in separate pockets in vol. II. Coloured and tinted lithograph plates & vignettes; folding plans, maps, charts & diagrams. The set is ex lib. ( Yorkshire Philosophical Society) and has small oval stamps on the very margins of maps & plates and some minor wear to the extremities to the binding, otherwise it can be described as a very good, near fine set and represents a seminal treatise in the science of Seismology.

1st 4th. Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Bareilly 1915. Small landscape album containing 24 contemporary postcard sized photographs featuring : a panoramic view of the whole Battalion at Clyde Barracks 1915; Individual members of Senior ranks with names; Officers,Sergeants & Corporals (3); other ancillary staff; Group photos of A, B, C, D, E, F, G, & H Companies (8); Band; Drums & Bugles; Signallers; Scouts; P.R.I.,Qr.Mr. and Native Establishment ( Indian ). This Battalion served in India 1914-1916; Aden 1916-1917; Egypt 1917-1918 so clearly the photographs in the album relate to its service in India. The photographer is identified on the album's cover as Abdulla Khan, Ranikhet. All but two of the photographs are in vg condition with sharp focus and little evidence of fading. CONDITION REPORT: The album's cover is worn but still intact. The first and the last photographs have a small, marginal red ink stain not affecting the main subject of the photo.
