A copy of the Who ' Live at Leeds ' - what is unique about this is that it was almost sold as a pre - release in that the band were given a number of copies to sell at the gig which the vendor attended , as you can see by the photo it does have some edge wear but it does include all the relevant inserts and you can just about make out the stamp from the student union , the vendor tells me it was an incredible gig and this piece of history was made available at the time to just those gig goers - so a first press and despite spine wear a desirable piece with vinyl grading at VG+ - these copies were sold before the actual release date of the album so gig goers were the first to own this fantastic document of the mighty Who at arguably the height of their powers

Harold Cohen (British 1928-2016) a mid-century coloured screen print 'For Duncan Black' signed and dated 52 in pencil to margin, unframed, image size 16.5cm x 17cm, sold along with a monochrome ink portrait, circle of or after Harold Cohen. ***Harold Cohen was a British artist whose innovations at the forefront of technology changed the face of computer art. Unfolding where art and artificial intelligence intersect, Cohen's artistic practice was punctuated by his famed invention of AARON, a computer programme designed to create art independently. Cohen's work attracted global attention and was exhibited at major institutions such as Tate London and SFMOMA. Having graduated from Slade School of Fine Art, Cohen's first solo exhibition was held at Ashmolean Museum, Oxford in 1951. Further solo shows followed, including at Whitechapel Gallery in 1965. Cohen represented the UK at the 1966 Venice Biennale, Documenta III, the Paris Biennale, and the Carnegie International. Cohen relocated to the United States as a visiting lecturer at the University of California, San Diego, in 1968. It would be almost three decades Cohen remained at UC San Diego as professor, chairman of the Visual Arts Department and eventually in 1992, director of the Centre for Research in Computing and the Arts. During this time Cohen began work on AARON, a venture to which he would devote the next five decades, instigating new areas of study and pioneering generative art. After his retirement from UCSD he continued to work on AARON and produce new artwork in his studio in Encinitas, California. In 2014, Cohen received the ACM SIGGRAPH Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement in Digital Art.

Foreign Militaria - France : Important presentation sabre for a royal French or English prince, 2nd half of the 19th century. The curved single-edged blade with four fullers in the lower half, the back with a serpentine faceted cut, pandora point, the upper half richly decorated with gilded etched vine work, the signature of the venerable Solingen bladesmith's manufactory "P.D. Lüneschloss" above the ricasso. The large iron basket hilt designed in the shape of a lily, the entire surface inlaid with silver and gold wine leaves. On the obverse side bandeau with the ancient English motto "Díeu et mon droit", the likewise fully inlaid inner side with the Spanish motto "Adelante Lacar". Light-coloured grip with wire winding. The blued steel scabbar inlaid "en suite" and decorated with fleurs-de-lis in relief, two suspension straps with spirally cut suspension rings. Complete with gold-embroidered and inlaid leather hangers and attached red leather suspension strap. Accompanied by the iron belt buckle, also inlaid in silver and gold over the entire surface, the monogram "F C" in the centre in a large mantle with royal crown. Length of the weapon 102.5 cm.The motto "Díeu et mon driot" dates back to 1198 and was used as a watchword by King Richard the Lionheart during the victorious Battle of Gisors against the French King Philip II. It is supposed to express that the king is responsible to God alone. Two centuries later, "Díeu et mon driot" was introduced as the official motto of British monarchs by Henry VI (1422-1461), who had been crowned King of both England and France and was fluent in French; it is still found on the English coat of arms. Lilies were first added to the coat of arms by Edward III (1312-1377), in 1340 he declared himself King of France and asserted his claim to the French throne. The Spanish expression "Adelante Lacar" here means, mutatis mutandis, "Forward with renewal". The weapon as a whole - except for the blade - is a Spanish high-quality piece of wrought ironwork: The use of a German blade has not been uncommon in Spanish edged weapons. Peter Daniel Lüneschloss in Solingen made a number of luxurious edged weapons for crowned heads, cf. e.g. the honorary sword of King Frederick William IV of Prussia, formerly of the German Historical Museum in Berlin (https://www.lostart.de/EN/Verlust/445328).Important honour sword of exceptional quality probably made for a member of the French or British royal house.

Enrico Caviglia (* 4. Mai 1862 in Finale Ligure; ? 22. Orders and Decorations - German Eagle Order : Order of the German Eagle: Grand Cross with Swords awarded to Enrico Caviglia, Marshal of Italy.Silver and enameled. Without sash. In the eyelet the silver stamp "900". Gilding largely worn, but the enamel completely intact and undamaged.Enrico Caviglia (* May 4, 1862 in Finale Ligure; ? March 22, 1945 ibid.) Caviglia completed officer training at the Military Academy in Turin. In 1883 he was promoted to sub-lieutenant and then served with various artillery units. From 1904 to 1911 he was Italian military attaché in Tokyo and Beijing. He participated in the Eritrean War (1886-1889), the Battle of Adua (1896) in the Italian-Ethiopian War, and the Italian-Turkish War (1912). At the outbreak of World War I, Caviglia became a brigadier general and commanded the infantry brigade "Bari" on the lower Isonzo. In 1917, as a lieutenant general, he distinguished himself in the eleventh Battle of the Isonzo, advancing with his subordinate troops to the plateau of Heiligengeist-Bainsizza, northeast of Gorizia. In the Battle of Vittorio Veneto he commanded the 8th Italian Army, which ultimately decided the battle at the end of October 1918. Immediately after the end of the war, the British King decorated him with the Order of the Bath. In Italy, he became a senator on February 22, 1919, and Minister of War in the Orlando government. He solved the Fiume problem created by Gabriele d'Annunzio. On June 25, 1926, he received the rank of Marshal of Italy from the Fascist regime for his services in the First World War. Caviglia lived in relative seclusion in the years that followed because of his dislike of fascism. After the armistice of September 8, 1943, he took command of Rome and, in negotiations with Field Marshal Albert Kesselring, obtained "open city" status for the Italian capital. Shortly thereafter, Caviglia died in his hometown of Finale Ligure. His burial place is in the Mausoleo di Enrico Caviglia on Capo San Donato, Finale Ligure. With this interesting provenance of a Marshal of Italy of the greatest rarity.
