A Marklin O gauge 20 volt model of 'der Adler' built to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of Germany's first passenger train service in 1935. The original built in the UK in Sheffield by George Stephenson. The set consists of a 2-2-2 locomotive with driver and 2 axle tender, one open coach, one enclosed and one with raised seat for the gaurd, the set includes 8 curved and 2 straight Marklin 3 rail track, all with little evidence of playwear.

Collection of good quality white linen including a damask banqueting cloth, woven with ribbon tied flowers, 106in. X 87in. 270cm. X 220cm. One corner embroidered in red with owners name and the date 1917; white embroidered bedcover with filet lace inserts; a Bruges flower lace bedcover; very fine lawn baby's cot sheet one end embroidered in white with flowers and the initial D; silk handkerchief and another inscribed in ink 'Souvenir d Ypres' with a drawing of the cathedral; together with a small collection of table and bed linen and a beaded velvet tea cosy. First half 20th century. Sold with all faults not subject to return.
Two Baluchi khorjin faces, Khorasan, north east Persia, both first quarter 20th century, the first 2ft. 6in. X 2ft. 3in. 0.76m. X 0.69m. Small areas of old moth damage. Ivory octagon within a quartered ivory outlined centre medallion. Lustrous wool with tiny apricot highlights. The second, 2ft. 2in. X 2ft. 0.66m. X 0.61m. Overall wear and corrosion; hole to centre; losses to ends. (2)
Verdure part silk tapestry, France, probably Aubusson, first half 18th century, 7ft. 11in. X 9ft. 6in. 2.41m. X 2.90m. Once part of a larger tapestry, with wear and repairs consistent with age, now professionally conserved on a coarse green linen backing. Figures resting in a woodland glade by a stream, possibly depicting Apollo with attendants and dogs at his feet; flowers and foliage in the foreground; the floral main border with a roundel woven with a a portrait of a bird at each centre point. Plain mid-brown outer band.

Together with a Mianeh piled book cover, north west Persia, mid-20th century, 10in. X 1ft. 4in. 26cm. X 40cm. With woollen tassels to edges and striped plainweave back. (3)

The second: Yomut Turkmen aina khalta (mirror bag) of gapyrga (tree design), 8in. X 1ft. 6in. 20cm. X 0.46m. With plainweave back and remains of tiered woollen tassels to sides and base. The third: Yomut Turkmen kap (small bag), late 19th century, 9in. X 1ft. 1in. 0.23m. X 0.33m. With plainweave back. Small repairs to kelim end; fraying to edge of back. The fourth: Yomut Turkmen chuval border fragment, joined together to form a long narrow strip, late 19th/early 20th century. Woollen loops to top edge, 4 1/2 in, x 3ft. 7in. 11cm. x `1.09m. Th3e fifth: Kizil Ayak Turkmen 'mosque'-design rug, Afghanistan or Turkmenistan, late 19th century, 4ft. 7in. X 3ft. 3in.1.40m. X 1m. Woven with date/number of 1305 (AH) [1887 AD] three times at the top of the field. Overall wear with slight losses to ends. The sixth: an Ersari Turkmen double khorjin, flatweave with weft float details, south west Turkmenistan, late 19th/early 20th century, 3ft. 10in. overall x 1ft. 4in. 1.17m. X 0.41m. With original goat hair closing loops; brocaded bridge and plainweave back. Holes in various places; small crude repairs. (6)

Three christening gowns, two fine lawn with pin tucks and lace inserts with satin ribbon sashes; the third in fine white cotton with pin tucks and white embroidered flared front, lace and broderie anglaise trim, early 20th century, together with a fine lawn long petticoat; gauze toddler's dress with pink bobble trim; fine lawn toddler's dress with lace inserts and woven ribbon sash; broderie anglaise petticoat; a page boy outfit with blue velvet knickerbockers and various other clothing oddments. All first half 20th century. Some time stains and other imperfections.
Nine weavings comprising: three Baluchi khorjins, Khorasan, north east Persia, 20th century One flatweave and now a cushion, one piled and the third a flatweave with remains of coloured fringing to the face; and an Afshar khorjin, south west Persia, 20th century. And a group of Baluchi weavings, Khorasan, north east Persia, first half 20th century, comprising two khorjins, a miniature mat and a flatweave strip, together with an Ersari Turkmen narrow piled panel, 1ft. 9in. X 5in. 0.53m. X 0.13m. Rewoven corners and with reweaving to the ends both of which have been severely trimmed. Sold as a collection with all faults not subject to return. (9)
