An early 19th century two-handled Spode porcelain dessert dish; hand gilded and individually decorated with botanical subjects 'Onion-leav'd asphodel & Verginian Rhucia', together with two further, smaller boat-shaped dishes also individually decorated 'Rosa Vulgaris Cuscuta Verrucosa' and  'Bindweed St. John's Wort' (the larger two-handled bowl 28cm) (3)Condition Report: The larger two-handled bowl - some minor discolouration to the inside of the bowl which looks like it would clean away easily. The handles look to be in good condition, some minor marks and blemishes to underside of big bowl but nothing concerning. Clearly signed and named to the underside. The gilding around the edge exhibits minor scratches and small pinhead sized pieces away commensurate age and usage. The first of the boat-shaped dishes (St John's Wort) has a good foot rim to the underside, gilding is good; the second of the plates decorated with pink roses also looks good with no major chips, cracks or restorations noted. Overall - good condition for age.
