A typed letter believed to be from an agent or friend to Harrison Ford dated April 16, 1976, discussing his contracts and future film prospects. The letter also mentions that the writer has spoken to his wife Mary Marquadt who mentions she hasn't heard from Harrison which he is scolded for. The jovial nature of the correspondence highlights a strong relationship withe the letter's writer. Signed in pen, unfolded. This item comes with Excalibur Auctions certificate of authenticityProvenance: Star Wars – Harrison Ford memorabiliaThe vendor recollects that in 1976 she had an advertisement in The Sunday Times “Flat to Let”. She and her husband were looking for a lodger in their home. Harrison Ford came to see the flat and he liked it. He was an excellent tenant, and very tidy. The rent was paid by the film company. The vendor didn’t know anything about film stars or celebrities and didn’t know who Harrison Ford was. She and her husband lived on the 4 bottom floors of a house in Elgin Crescent, Notting Hill, London with the separate flat occupied by Harrison on the top two floors. One day their cleaner met Harrison and fainted, they were told the next day by a friend of the cleaner that she had fainted because she had never met a film star before. The vendor told them that they had someone called Harrison Ford as a tenant and admitted that she didn’t know he was a film star, when she subsequently told this to Harrison he found it amusing. Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, and Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker visited several times, the vendor didn’t know who they were either and didn’t even know Mark’s name - just calling him “the boy” as that’s what they referred to him as. Harrison’s brother-in-law stayed for a while too. He was an American academic. Our vendor, husband, and Harrison had a great time together, they all used to sit in the garden drinking. One day her husband took her to a garden centre and bought a lot of plants for the garden because Harrison had given them money to pay for the plants. Summer 1976 was a great time, with Harrison even attending her son’s first birthday party in the garden! “He was an ideal tenant! It really was a fun time.” ***Provenance***Star Wars – Harrison Ford memorabiliaThe vendor recollects that in 1976 she had an advertisement in The Sunday Times “Flat to Let”. APPLE COMPUTERS - An Apple IIc Prototype computer with associated monitor, transformer, and manuals c. 1983, marked Prototype U.K. serial number P1463 with Apple inspection stamp and another sticker marked U.K.The unit lacks many of the hallmarks of a final production unit: the case is smooth, rather than textured, and has different venting patterns on the top and bottom; the Apple logo and IIc logos are missing; buttons and indicators above the keyboard are not identified; no production or model numbers are cast into the bottom of the case, etc...These characteristics make it an especially interesting Apple IIc, indicating that it predates the production molds for the plastic bottom and back. Complete with its original power adapter and three original Apple manuals: "Apple Presents the Apple IIc: An Interactive Owner's Guide," "System Utilities," and "Introducing the Apple IIc" marked 'Sample not for resale no commercial value'. The Apple IIc, released in April 1984, was Apple Computer’s first endeavour to produce a portable computer—it was essentially a complete Apple II squeezed into a smaller housing, and the 'c' stood for 'compact.' Provenance - This item came from the home of an Apple employee who worked through the 80's and 90's as a software trainer.

Manchester United v Benfica 1968 European Cup Final multi signed original football programme 16 signatures inside includes Matt Busby, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Brian Kidd, John Aston, Pat Crerand obtained before the match by vendor. Rare piece of soccer memorabilia. The 1968 European Cup final was the final match of the 1967–68 European Cup, the premier club football competition in Europe. It was played at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on 29 May 1968 between Benfica of Portugal and Manchester United of England in front of a crowd of 92,225. Both teams had to go through four rounds of two-legged knockout ties to reach the final; it was Benfica's fifth European Cup final, two of which they had won, and Manchester United's first. Both sides went close in a goalless first half, before Manchester United took the lead from Bobby Charlton's header eight minutes into the second; however, Jaime Graça's 79th-minute equaliser meant the match went into extra time. Manchester United then scored three times in seven minutes in the extra period; the first was a solo goal from George Best, followed by a header from Brian Kidd on his 19th birthday. Charlton scored his second in the 99th minute, as Manchester United triumphed 4–1 to become the first English club to win the European Cup. Good condition. STUDIO OF GEORGE CLINT PORTRAIT OF VICE ADMIRAL WILLIAM (LUKIN) WINHAM Oil on canvas 111 x 85cm (43½ x 33¼ in.)After the original painting by George Clint (1770 - 1854), dating from 1825 and in the collection at Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk. Please note measurements do not include the frame unless otherwise stated. This portrait shows the sitter before his final promotion to Vice-Admiral, and the year after he inherited Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk in 1824. The original work still hangs at the house. William Lukin had not anticipated inheriting the estate. He was the grandson of William III Windham's mother, Sarah Hicks, by her first marriage. When William III had died without children, the inheritance passed across to the Lukin family. William Lukin assumed the name and arms of Windham in gratitude. His grandiose schemes for enlarging the house were, for the most part, prevented by lack of money. Please note measurements do not include the frame unless otherwise stated. Condition Report: The canvas is unlined and presents general craquelure across the surface. There are sever losses of paint on the right shoulder, close to the left shoulder, right leg, and bottom border. UV light reveals several restorations on the right arm and both the shoulders, which coincide with repairs of the canvas with patches on the verso. The painting shows dirt throughout. Please note Dreweatts are not liable for damage to frames or mounts. Condition Report Disclaimer
