FRED MITCHELL, (British, 1845-1914), group of studies of pre First World War British warships, five in one frame, to include: '2897 HMS Bacchante'; '2895 HMS Eden'; '2896 HMS Leviathan'; '2898 HMS Devonshire' and '2894 HMS Wizard', all signed and dated: 1910, watercolours, 10.5 x 14cm approx. (5 in one frame).(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: HMS Wizard has some foxing and damp spots, the other three are good overall.
EARLY 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH DELFT POTTERY TWO HANDLED URN SHAPED VASE of tapering cylindrical form with crimped neck and rope twist handles, on a slightly flared base. Overall painted in underglaze blue with bands of anthemion leaves and scroll work around a central band of stylised heron type birds, insects and floral designs. (Probably Bristol). 22cms high, 19cms diameter. CONDITION REPORT: Badly damaged, to include large rim chip, many small frit, band of missing glaze to the body, losses to glaze on handles, significant crack through the body, number of large chips around base rim with many glaze frits. Sold on behalf of a local small church, hopefully to raise funds to restore a small war memorial to lost soldiers in the First World War.

Together with another equestrian study, Daniel Clowes, (British, 1774-1829), study of a chestnut hunter in a landscape, signed and dated, oils on canvas, 45 x 60cm approx. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Both these paintings are in poor condition, the first has had significant holes, tears, losses, creases and general damage, to now be laid on board and roughly over-painted in places, the second picture very dirty, with scratches, scrawps and losses in places, one particular hole apparent, overall crazed and poor condition.
