HOWLIN' WOLF - RHYTHM & BLUES WITH - The must have EP for the big fan of that man Chester Burnett! The very first UK EP featuring the famous track 'Smokestack Lightning, London (tri-centre RE-U 1072). The record is in Ex condition with only a couple of rather minor and light hairline markings. There are certainly no heavier marks, and no scratches of any nature. The maroon/gold labels are remarkably clean. The picture cover is in strong Ex condition with a little ringwear to the front. The rear flipback design is in marvelous condition. Don't miss this!

Silver Bene Merenti Medal for Military Merit Round medallion with the busto f Pope Benedict XV facing right, 50x32 mm, surrounded by the inscription "BENEDICTUS XV PONT. MAX." and below, right, the maker's signature "S.J." (Stefano Johnson, Milan), within a separately-made laurel wreath with green enameled leaves and orange-red enameled berries and the bow tying the branches, the reverse with round medallion, bering the motto "BENE MERENTI", and the wel-lvisible, 4 thin tubes with inserted pins, mounting the medallion to the wreath, rectangular upper loop and finely chiselled Trophy suspension, large, round ring and original ribbon. An extremely rare decoration, very fine condition. The Medal for Military Merit was the highest honour besides the Orders, given to Officers of the armed corps in defence of the Holy See, first instituted by Pope Gregorius XVI after the Napoleonic wars, then renewed by each subsequent Pope, until Paul VI. Ciborium of enameled silver, 19th Century 61x23.5 cm. The enamel plaques on the front depict the Ascension, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Crucifixion and the Last Supper, all scenes supported by four angels. The applied enamel plaque on the obverse shows the entombment of Christ, His dead body supported by an angel and John, the Mother of God attending the event in mourning. The interior is divided in two compartments, on the back the first one is decorated with an engraved cross. Very rare! RR!

Breast Badge, 84x58 mm, gilt Silver, French hallmarked, both sides blue enameled (damage to one point), obverse with Ferdinand Ist cipher, reverse with “1916”, with original suspension loop and original short ribbon. Extremely rare model, of very elegant French fabrication and beautiful condition. The 2nd class first model was awarded only 4 times. II RR!
