MANCHESTER UNITED In Memoriam card from the early days of Manchester United, possibly 1900s when these cards were more common, although they were occasionally produced after the First World War. United were called Manchester United from 1902-03 having previously been called Newton Heath. This card shows a horse -drawn carriage with the words "In affectionate Remembrance of Poor Old Manchester United F.C and the verse below ends with the lines "Our chance is past, our day is o'er, At football we will play no more". R.I.P. Not thought to relate to the 2016-17 season !!! Good
ARSENAL Home programme v. Wimbledon 6/10/1958 in the London Challenge Cup. Arsenal played their First teams in this match whereas usually they fielded their Reserve team in this competition. UNDER 23 ITINERARY 1967 Two Itineraries/programme of arrangements covering the England Under 23s tour to Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey 1967. The first itinerary was issued by the FA to all players and officials on the tour. The second programme of arrangements was issued by the Turkish FA for the game v England in Ankara on June 7th 1967. Due to the length of time since Arsenal won a trophy, they decided to play their First team in this competition and won the trophy. Four home programmes v. Barnet, Brentford Replay, Tottenham Semi-Final and Millwall Final and away v. Brentford. All have annotations. Good

JACKIE STEWART Hardback copy of Jackie Stewart Biography "A Restless Life" with a signed colour photograph of Stewart laid down on frontispiece together with British Grand Prix programme, 1969 at Silverstone which was won by Stewart who became World Champion for the first time that year driving a Matra Ford. ARSENAL V CHELSEA 1952 Two programmes for the FA Cup Semi-Final and Replay played at Tottenham Hotspur FC on 5 & 7/4/1952. The first match is dated 29/3/1952 which was postponed and includes the single sheet insert for the re-arranged match and is slightly creased. The Replay has a horizontal fold and minor tears. Both have annotations. Fair to generally good
CELTIC - RANGERS 1946 First programme produced by Celtic post-war, home game v Rangers, 1/1/46, four page issue, noted as official programme and note inside states that "Today we publish the first issue of an official programme, an innovation by the club which we feel sure will meet with the wholehearted approval of our supporters.". WORLD CUP JULES RIMET TROPHY Excellent replica Jules Rimet trophy. The original was awarded to Brazil after they won it for the third time in 1970. This gold coloured metal trophy is an excellent replica with the trophy itself standing on a grey metal coloured base which has gold coloured plates detailing each winner between the first Tournament in 1930 and the Tournament in 1970. the trophy ( rather heavy) measures circa 22cm x 11cm and including the base, the measurement is circa 33cm x 11cm. It comes complete with a plinth and a display case (plastic sides). A superb replica of this wonderful trophy. Good

MAN UTD - SHEF WED 58 Match ticket for the first match played by United after the Munich Air Disaster, Home match v Sheffield Wednesday, 15/2/58, Cup 5th Round. The match was scheduled for 15/2/58 but United were allowed four extra days to assemble a team. The much changed side defeated Wednesday 3-0 on 19/2/58 on probably the most emotional night that football has witnessed. Ticket is a reserved seat ticket . Two small tape marks to corners. Generally good
1971 FAIRS CUP FINAL Juventus v Leeds United (1st Leg) played 28 May 1971 at Stadio Comunale, Turin. Scarce ''Stadio'' newspaper style issue dated 28 May 1971. Includes programme style team line-ups to the front cover and match previews. This game was re-played after the original first leg match was abandoned after 51 minutes on 26 May 1971. Generally good
WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 1968 Match ticket, programme and Daily Mirror Souvenir booklet for the 1968 World Club Championship, Manchester United v Estudiantes (Argentina) 16/10/68 at Old Trafford. This was the second leg of the two leg contest, also known as the European / South American Cup. Estudiantes won a somewhat eventful first leg 1-0 in Argentina and certainly the atmosphere was tense for the second leg at Old Trafford with many worried about crowd hostility and possible trouble at the game . In this atmosplere the game itself was a close , hard fought affair with Estudiantes gaining a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 aggregate win. Booklet is good as is the ticket and the programme has a very slight fold but no writing. Generally good
MOTOR RACING Five scarce programmes for Events 1950-55 held at Goodwood. Four took place on Easter Mondays 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1954 , the fifth being the Goodwood Nine Hour Car Race, 1pm until Midnight, 20/8/55. The first four were International Car race Meetings with the main event being the Formula 1 Richmond Trophy. Some race notes annotated. Generally good
1965 FAIRS CUP Torino v Leeds United played at 6 October 1965 Stadio Comunale, Turin / Roma v Chelsea played 6 October 1965 at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome. Rare ''Stadio'' newspaper style issue which includes full team line-ups and coverage of both 2nd Leg matches which were played 6 October 1965 in Italy. This was Leeds first away match in Europe. No official programmes were produced for either game. Generally good
LIVERPOOL / EVERTON 1925-1926 Very good bound volume, 1925-1926 containing 48 programmes for Liverpool and Everton 1925-1926. All have covers and are bound in a cloth bound volume with gilt inscription on spine reading "Official Football Programmes 1925-1926". At this time Liverpool and Everton produced a joint programme each week and most issues contain a First team game for one of the clubs and a Reserve team game for the other club. Both were in Division 1 and their opponents included Huddersfield (Champions), Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham, Manchester City, Leeds, Burnley, Blackburn, Newcastle, West Brom and Notts County whilst Reserve team opponents included Manchester Utd, Blackburn, Wolves, Leeds, West Brom, Man City, Derby , Bradford City and Blackpool. Also includes Everton v Fulham (Cup) and Liverpool v Southampton (Cup) plus Liverpool Senior Cup Final, Everton v New Brighton at Anfield 3/5/1926. Other programmes include English League v Irish League 18/11/1925 at Anfield, Everton v Hearts friendly 10/4/1926, Everton v Preston friendly 20/2/1926 and an un-numbered four page programme Billy Meredith Testimonial Programme , Merediths XI v St Mirren 18/11/1925 at Anfield , lists Merediths appearances for Manchester City and Manchester United together with a picture of him with his caps and trophies.49 programmes in total (48 numbered + Meredith Testimonial). A few programmes do have very neat small team changes but the majority are free from writing. Good
LEAGUE CUP FINAL 1979 Collection of items relating to the Final between Southampton and Nottm Forest. Includes programme for the Final signed by 16 Southampton players, a picture signed by manager McMenemy, a letter from the referee Peter Reeves confirming him signing the programme, a match ticket and 2 x Southampton First Day Covers, one signed by 15 players, the second signed by Alan Ball, McMenemy and goal scorers Peach and Holmes. The second programme is signed by 14 Forest players on the player profiles and Forest Chairman Dryden has signed a hand-written note on letterhead sending the signed programme. Finally 2 letters on letter heading signed by Brian Clough are included. Housed in a binder. Good
MANCHESTER UNITED EUROPEAN CUP 1968 Signed menu for the Grand Reunion Dinner, 28/5/1998, 30 years after United defeated Benfica 4-1 to become the first English Club to win the European Cup. Signed by 9 of the players who appeared in the Final plus Denis Law who sadly missed the Final which he did so much to help United reach. Other signatures include Stepney, Brennan, Crerand, Foulkes, Stiles, Best, Kidd, Sadler and Aston. Good
BOXING-JIMMY WILDE Mounted montage of Jimmy Wilde, two pictures of Wilde, one with a signature beneath the picture. Complete item measures 12" x17". Jimmy Wilde was born in 1892 in Merthyr Tydfil , became the first World Flyweight Champion of the World and is regarded by many as the Greatest British Boxer of All Time. Wilde had the longest unbeaten streak in boxing history with a record of 93-0. Good
