Wooden Destination Board with 13 chocolate & cream enamel indicators. The top is painted `Next Train For Broad Street` and beneath are the destinations. The first is red enamel and states `Not Stopping At` followed by the following:- Brondesbury Park; Brondesbury; West End Lane; Finchley Road; Hampstead Heath; Gospel Oak; Kentish Town; Camden Town; Barnsby; Highbury; Cannonbury; Dalsto. Overall measurements 29" x 28". Excellent condition.

Lot 16

South Eastern & Chatham Railway Telephone with Morse Tapper. In two distinct sections, the top half has a central brass push button beneath which has the following stamped `SE&CR - ET`. The bottom half has a central recessed mouthpiece and a separate earpiece either side housed in cradles. This section is stamped with the same initials as the top section. Beneath the earpieces is a morse tapper. The whole item is large and the first seen by us.

L&NWR Webb & Thompson steel and brass Train Staff LLANDILO BRIDGE - GOLDEN GROVE. Measures 23" in length with large brass end where the section is embossed. The section was between the first two stops out of Llandilo on the route to Carmarthen.

GWR Cabside Numberplate 5075. Ex 4-6-0 Castle Class WELLINGTON which was originally named Devizes Castle, built Swindon Works in August 1938. First allocation was Wolverhampton Stafford Road and in 1940 during WWII, it was renamed. Subsequent allocations include Chester and Plymouth Laira ending its days at Bristol St Philip`s Marsh. Withdrawn September 1962. Scrapped at Cashmore`s, Newport. Basically ex loco condition.

Nameplate WILDEBEESTE. Ex 4-6-0 Thompson B1 Locomotive number 1010, later BR 61010 built Darlington in November 1946 under works number 1990. Predominantly a Hull loco, first allocated to Botanic Gardens and then Dairycoates. Withdrawn November 1965. Measuring 48" x 6¾", it is bereft of paint being cleaned by the original owner almost 50 years ago when he obtained it from BR. There are some black paint remnants.

LNER C/I Seatback GUISBOROUGH measuring 35½" in length. Ex terminus of the Middlesbrough and Guisborough Railway, later NER and LNER station that served the town of Guisborough in North Yorkshire. Opened on 25 February 1854 and closed, along with the entire Nunthorpe to Guisborough branch, on 2 March 1964. Restored. First time to appear at auction.
