Largely relating to his work during the First World War whilst fighting in the 1. Ersatz Batallion, Regmt 88. Including various personal photographs, documents and related items (including a family tree). Along with his related collection of badges and medals; WWI Iron Cross, Honour Cross, Wound Badge, and others. Various note books and diaries note his work during this period. Documents then detail his joining of the NSDAP / Nazi Party in the 1930's, including his members book, lapel badges and other related items. An interesting collection of single-owner personal German historical effects.
An interesting collection of assorted exploration related autographs, comprising of; Chris Bonnington (2x signed postcards, and a large photographic poster), Rainbow Endeavour First Day Cover signed by the crew, Sir Ranulph Fiennes signed First Day Cover, and an 'Autograph Editions' signed Brian Jones presentation (First Non-Stop Around The World Balloon Flight in 1999). KIPLING RUDYARD: (1865-1936) English Author, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1907. T.L.S., Rudyard Kipling, one page, 4to, Bateman's, Burwash, Sussex, 31st October 1903, to Miss. Clarisse Pasco. Kipling forwards his correspondent an old copy of the Year Book of the National Rose Society, which he feels will give her all of the information she requires, and adds 'I am glad to hear you have taken up roses as a hobby and I hope you will derive much pleasure and benefit from them but they are difficult I believe to bring to full maturity in or near London smoke'. Some light creasing, not affecting the signature, and some very minor traces of former mounting to the verso, about VG Kipling's love poem Blue Roses was first published in 1887 and was later included in Hutchinson's Book of Beauty (second edition, published in London, 1902).
A Third Reich NSDAP party banner, this veteran bring-back in generally good condition excepting a few rust spots to the white ground, applied to both sides with a sub panel embroidered Justizfachschaft and also named to the town where it was acquired Verden-Aller, complete with bullion trim and suspension hooks, 120 x 146cm approx. The vendor's father served with the RAMC and crossed the Rhine on the first day.

Three Various 19th Century American leather cartridge pouches, the first with applied brass plaque to the flap NG, the inside with maker's stamps for Frazier's Patent 1872 and McKenny & Co. New York and holding 18 cartridges, the second embossed US to the leather flap and holding 24 cartridges, the rear stamped N22, the last also embossed US and opening flat on a pivoting brass hinge pin, holding 20 cartridges and a U.S MOD 1879 combination tool, further stamped A45 to one end and A 37 7 to the back and incised with owner's name J. ANDREWS, together with a U.S. embossed black leather top flap holster. (4)
A First World War Death Plaque to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, named to JOHN SKIMING, 14th Bn, died on the 18th of September 1918 aged 40, together with another to WILFRED ASHBROOK, there are two W. Ashbrooks listed on the Commonwealth War Graves site and one Wilfred Ashbrook, assuming it is the latter he was in the Machine Gun Corps, was awarded the Military Medal and died on the 10th of December 1917, together with a Princess Mary Gift in worn condition. A First World War American Infantryman's greatcoat, tunic and breeches ensemble, the greatcoat by Henry Sonneborn & Co., Philadelphia Depot, and dated September 7 1917, the collar with stitched owner's name W. A. Wall, the tunic with label for New York Uniform MFG.Corp., dated July 2nd 19XX, circular trade insignia patch for that of a cook to right sleeve, the breeches probably associated and later. (3)

J. MERCHANT. WILTS. R., an embroidered belt F:M MAY 8 1913 and three photographs of men in uniform, one being the Wiltshire Regiment and a brass shell case.
