CRICKET - AUSTRALIA. Two excellent books entitled "First Class Cricket In. Australia" - Volume 1, 1850-51 to 1941-42 and volume 2, 1945-46 to 1976-77. Complied by Ray Webster each book is large format with green cloth and gilt embossed covers and spines. Each volume has approximately 1000 pages, detailing the scorecards of first-class Australian Cricket from 1850 to 1977 together with a Index of players. Published in Australia in the 1990s, these books are in good condition; originally priced at £55 each, they are virtually "as new".. Good.
ENTERTAINERS AUTOGRAPHS. Three signed items, small black & white photograph of a scene from St. Tinian`s signed by Joyce Grenfell, a Security Pacific National Bank cheque 6/1/1975 signed by Zeppo Marx, the youngest of the Marx Brothers who appeared in their first 5 films and a 10" X 8" black & white photograph of Marty Wilde, Chita Rivera and Peter Marshall signed by Wilde and Marshall. Good.
ENGLAND. 1934 England v Italy Friendly played at Arsenal 14 Nov 1934. Rare 6 page Italian first class travel Itinerary, detailing the journey from Milan through to London and return, 12-18 Nov 1934, plus details of the stay in London, sightseeing tours etc for the travelling Italian party.. Good.
BAINES CARDS. Four cards all believed to be issued from North Parade Entitled "Jump on em Snufflers" (Rugby), "Jump On Em" Normanton, "A Good Trip Up Plymouth Albion" and "Well-Played Newport".. First two named are good, Plymouth Albion has maker and address blocked out (ink) And Newport issue has aged on reverse side.. Fair-generally good.
WOLVES. Over 40 different away programmes from the 1950s, with the majority in the late 1950s, all first team except 2 Reserve issues, various faults such as slight creasing and team changes.. Includes at Chelsea 51/2 (writing on covers and team lines), at Arsenal 54/5, at Birmingham 56/7 and at Tottenham 55/6. Generally good.

Over 40 programmes, some are European competition, others are Friendly matches, including: Shamrock v Man Utd 59/60; Sunderland v Standard Liege 62/63; Chester v Stirling Albion 61/62; Arsenal v RFC Leige and v Staevnet 63/64; West Ham v Malmo 61/62; West Ham v First Vienna 62/63; PSV v Arsenal 59/60; Norwich v Motherwell 60/61; Norwich v Peterborough 61/62 etc.. Generally good.

Gurney), v Norwich Milk Cup Final (inc 18 autographs), v Stoke (100th game against Stoke 1981, v Middlesbrough (100th game against Middlesbrough autographed by Bobby Murdoch/ Alan Durban) 1982 and England XI Centenary Year ( autographed by Chris Turner). EVERTON / MAN UTD. Single sheet Everton Reserves issue v Man Utd, 17/1/53, Duncan Edwards in United team prior to his first team debut, Les Olive in goal for United and Bent, Jones and Blanchflower also listed. Probably ex bound volume and possibly slight trim but no writing. Small piece off top edge.. As described.
MAN CITY GROUND OPENING. City programme dated August 25th 1923 for Man City v Sheffield United, the first game to be played at the new ground, Maine Road, as City relocated from their previous home, Hyde Road. The programme is a double issue and covers the Reserves v Oldham Reserves 27/8/1923, 16 pages, fold and pencil score, scorers.. Generally good.
MAN UTD-OLD TRAFFORD. United returned to Old Trafford at the start of. the1949-50 season after wartime bombing of the ground forced them to play at Maine Road. This is a programme for the first game back at Old Trafford that season, the four page issue for the Practice games played on 13th August 1949, two games took place, both Reds v Blues. and in the Junior match Bent, Violett, Blanchflower and Jones of the Busby Babes took part. "Welcome home" noted on the front cover as the Club welcomed Supporters back to Old Trafford.. Minor folds , no writing.. Generally good.
GATESHEAD. Five programmes, home v Workington 25/11/61 (FA Cup),. and home v All-Stars XI 29/10/62 in aid of Ashington FC, plus away issues at Stranraer 13/8/60 (Challenge match-Gateshead were attempting to be voted into the Scottish League after failing to gain re-election to the Football League in 59/60), Cambridge City 1/5/59 and early Northern Counties game at Stockton 4/3/61 (first season back in Non-League football for Gateshead). Some folds, most are free from writing.. Fair-generally good.
