SWINDON - ABERDARE 1927 Swindon Town home programme v Aberdare, 2/4/1927. This was the final season in the Football League for Aberdare who pre-season had merged with Aberaman, the first team playing in the Football League as Aberdare Athletic whilst the reserves played in the Welsh League as Aberdare and Aberaman AFC. At the end of the season Torquay Utd replaced Aberdare. Swindon won the game 3-2, slight fold. Good

Also covers Scottish, Rugby, Cricket, Cycling etc. Front page has picture of QPR defeating Plymouth 2-1. This was Arsenals first season in Division 1 and they lost their first game, at Newcastle, 3-0. Newcastle went on to become Champions. BOLTON - TOTTENHAM 50-51 Bolton home programme v Tottenham, 23/8/50, probably the scarcest Tottenham competitive programme since 1946. We have sold two copies this year and the second one sold for £760 hammer price. To the best of our knowledge we have no other copies due to appear in our auctions, so this is the last chance to acquire this programme. Tottenham Championship season ( their first) and score, scorers and attendance are noted on the team page for this early season midweek game which Tottenham won 4-1. Slight folds. Generally good
A Royal Crown Derby Tea/Coffee Service hand gilded and decorated in the 1128 Imari pattern, comprising lidded Teapot, lidded Coffee Pot, seven Teacups and Saucers and nine Coffee Cans, all with printed Royal Crown Derby marks to underside, the Coffee Pot 22cm high (including cover) CONDITION REPORT: These are first quality, no cancellation marks to back stamps, one coffee can has interior staining to base, the gilding to the coffee pot spout tip is slightly worn, no damage or restoration detected under u.v. light.
A large ebonised framed and glazed Queen Ann period (dated 1709) hand coloured Map Engraving "A New and Correct Map of The World Laid Down According to The Newest Discoveries and From The Most Exact Observations" by Herman Moll, Geographer and dedicated to His Royal Highness George, Prince of Denmark, Lord High Admiral Great Britain and Ireland, 64cm x 104cm CONDITION REPORT: Upon first inspection the paper is noted to have vertical creases and ripples (mostly near the centre area), there is also some discolouration evident mostly to the border area of the Map and where the dedication is (lower centre) further damage/rippling of the paper is noted in the margin. Other minor tears and rippling are also noted although no major tears or rips appear prevalent.

A large 19th Century Chinese stoneware "Hu" shaped Vase, the flaring neck with two faux bamboo style handles above a Sang de Boeuf glazed body with delicate purple trailing's, 44cm high CONDITION REPORT: Generally overall good condition some glaze crazing noted although when the Vase is turned up to reveal the edge of the foot old and historic chipping is noted. There is also what looks like an old firing crack to the underside of the foot approx. 2cm 44cm high x approx. 27cm at the widest point. Provenance: A good old private collection amassed in the early part of the 20th Century the vendor has inherited this Vase a while ago and wishes to sell, this is the first time that this has been on the market for many decades.
