Named at Laira depot in 2022 and removed when taken out of service in 2023. Exported to Nigeria in Oct 2023. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 41.75in x 13.75in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railways and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Shedplate 1D Devons Road Bow 1949-August 1958 for steam, total closure October 1964. This ex NLR shed had an allocation of 50 in 1950. It became the first diesel only depot on the system; a number of the new diesels also carried this code. In original condition.

Nameplate CHARLES FRANCIS BRUSH ex British Railways Class 60 diesel numbered 60098. Named at Brush, Loughborough on 13th April 1992 after the founder of the Brush Electric Company in the USA as it was the 1000th locomotive built at the Brush Falcon Works since 1945. Nameplates were removed Nov 2009. First allocated to Immingham in Dec 1992, it was stored at Toton in Apr 2004 and currently owned by DC Rail. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 81in x 9.75in.

London & North Western Railway silver presentation trowel inscribed PRESENTED TO PHILIP WHITEWAY ESQ ON THE OCCASION OF LAYING THE FIRST STONE FOR THE RAILWAY BRIDGE ACROSS THE RIVER MERSEY AT RUNCORN XII APRIL MDCCCLXIV (12th April 1864) With makers name J. Mayer Silversmith Liverpool and hallmarked for Chester. The Runcorn Railway Bridge, Ethelfleda Bridge or Britannia Bridge crosses the River Mersey at Runcorn Gap between Runcorn and Widnes in Cheshire. The design for the bridge and viaducts was produced by William Baker the chief engineer of the L&NWR. Preparatory work for the bridge and approach viaducts commenced in 1863 and the bridge was completed in 1868 and was opened for traffic on 10 October. The first goods traffic crossed the bridge on 1 February 1869 and the first passenger train on 1 April. In excellent condition measures 12in long.

Engraved brass plaque DESIGNED BY V L RAVEN ESQ MADE AT YORK LOCO WORKS NER 1895. This was Raven’s first year as the NER’s Assistant Mechanical Engineer and it is thought this may be from electrical equipment he designed at the works to provide electricity to light York railway station and the Royal Station Hotel. In original condition with wax infil, measures 3in x 2in.

Nameplate RESTORMEL CASTLE ex Class 57 57602. Originally built as Class 47 D1818 at Brush Works in 1965 and later becoming 47337 Herbert Austin until converted to Class 57 at Brush Traction, Loughborough in Nov 2003 for use by First Great Western on the Night Riviera sleeper services. Named at Par station on 28/9/04, this original nameplate was replaced by new ones in the same style as the Class 43 Castle Class HSTs. Still in service with Great Western Railway. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 57.5in x 10in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railways and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Loco withdrawn from HQ in Jun 1999 and scrapped at Wigan CRDC in Jan 2000. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 59in x 17.625in. Comes with original EWS authenticity certificate.

Shedplate 7D Rhyl 1935 to May 1952. This ex LNWR shed was home to 27 locos in 1950. It was recoded 6K and finally closed in February 1963. A rare and early LMS pattern plate the first time this pattern has been offered in auction.

Withdrawn from Reddish Nov 1980 and stored until moved to CF Booth, Rotherham Apr 1983 and scrapped. Oval cast brass in cleaned condition, measures 12.125in x 6.5in.

Pullman Type C brass table lamp decorated with Ram's Heads and Greek Urns and stamped on the side of the base NEPTUNE. From a 12 Wheeled First Class Kitchen car built in 1920 for use on the South Eastern & Chatham Railway Continental Boat train services. In good condition complete with a replacement mahogany base and original celluloid shade which sadly although complete has multiple cracks. Stands 19in tall.
