60 Battle of Britain pilots all signed on 6 x 4 colour postcard of the Battle of Britain Memorial in Folkestone. Signatures are Peter Ayerst 7 OTU Sqn, Squadron Leader Dennis Lockhart Armitage DFC 266 Sqn 266 Squadron. He was appointed 'A' Flight Commander on 3 August 1940. On the 12th he claimed the destruction of a Ju 88. He was posted from 266 in May 1941 and was awarded the DFC (18.7.41) for his service with the squadron. Promoted to Acting Squadron Leader, he took command of 129 Squadron on 20 June 194. On 21 September, on a Wing-escort for bombers attacking targets in France, he was hit and bailed out and taken PoW, Cyril Stanley Bam Bamberger DFC* AE* (1919-2008) was a Royal Air Force pilot who fought in the Battle of Britain 41 Sqn, the Defence of Malta and the Korean War. Sqn Leader R A Beardsley RAFVR pilot, joining 610 Squadron at Biggin Hill at the peak of the Battle of Britain, in August 1940, ne had three confirmed victories before the end of the Battle. Posted to 41 Squadron, Beardsley spent months with the Tangmere Wing in 1941, remembering Bader for his determination to operate the wing on every possible occasion and his calmness of the radio which compared favourably with some other Wing Leaders. Wg Cdr D Cox DFC 19 Sqn, Mike Croskell BOB pilot No.213 Squadron at Wittering on January 26th, 1940. His first success - a probable - was on May 29th, 1940 when he attacked a Ju87 Stuka over Dunkirk. James McDivitt Gemini 4, Apollo 9 Astronaut large 16 x 12 colour photo clearly signed American former test pilot, He has added G IV & A-9 after his autograph. United States Air Force pilot, aeronautical engineer, and NASA astronaut who flew in the Gemini and Apollo programs. He commanded the Gemini 4 flight during which Edward H. White performed the first U.S. spacewalk, and later the Apollo 9 flight which was the first manned flight test of the Lunar Module and the complete set of Apollo flight hardware. He later became Manager of Lunar Landing Operations and was the Apollo Spacecraft Program Manager from 1969 to 1972 Good condition

He remains the only man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final as England recorded a 4-2 victory over West Germany at the old Wembley in 1966. He began his career with West Ham United, where he scored 242 goals in 500 first team appearances. There he won the FA Cup in 1964 and the European Cup Winners' Cup 1965. He was sold to Stoke City in 1972 for £80,000. After three seasons with Stoke he finished his Football League career with West Bromwich Albion in 1976. Hurst went to play football in Ireland (Cork Celtic) and the USA (Seattle Sounders) before returning to England to manage non-league Telford United. He also coached in the England set-up before an unsuccessful stint as Chelsea manager from 1979 to 1981. He later coached Kuwait SC before leaving the game to concentrate on his business commitments. In total he scored 24 goals in 49 England appearances, and as well as success in the 1966 World Cup he also appeared at UEFA Euro 1968 and the 1970 FIFA World Cup Good condition

Gordon Banks signed colour 16 x 12 inch 1966 World Cup final montage football photo. England international football goalkeeper. He made 628 appearances during a 15-year career in the Football League, and won 73 caps for his country. The IFFHS named Banks the second best goalkeeper of the 20th century - after Lev Yashin (1st) and ahead of Dino Zoff (3rd). He was named FWA Footballer of the Year in 1972, and was named FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year on six occasions. He joined Chesterfield in March 1953, and played for the youth team in the 1956 FA Youth Cup final. He made his first team debut in November 1958, and was sold to Leicester City for £7,000 in July 1959. He played in four cup finals for the club, as they were beaten in the 1961 and 1963 FA Cup finals, before winning the League Cup in 1964 and finishing as finalists in 1965. During this time he established himself as England's number one goalkeeper, and played every game of the nation's 1966 World Cup victory. Despite this success, he was dropped by Leicester and sold on to Stoke City for £50,000 in April 1967. He made one of the game's great saves to prevent a Pelé goal in the 1970 World Cup, but was absent due to illness as England were beaten by West Germany at the quarter-final stage. He was Stoke's goalkeeper in the 1972 League Cup win; the club's only major honour. He was still Stoke and England's number one when a car crash in October 1972 cost him both the sight in one eye and his professional career - Good condition
Jimmy White signed colour 16 x 12 snooker photo. Jimmy White, MBE was born in Tooting, South London, on May 2nd 1962 as James Warren White. Jimmy has played professional snooker for nearly 30 years, winning a total of 23 professional titles and competing in the finals of six snooker World Championships. Jimmy launched into a snooker career at a very early age. In 1979 he won the English Amateur Championship, followed in 1980 by becoming the youngest-ever winner of the World Amateur Snooker Championship at the age of 18. Jimmy turned pro in the same year. This was the start of a professional career which has secured him a place in snooker history as one of the true greats. With 23 professional titles under his belt, including 10 ranking titles, the ‘People’s Champion’ is one of the world’s snooker legends. Jimmy has played in 25 World Championship tournaments between 1981 and 2009, reaching the finals in 1984 and 1990-1994. He is also one of only six players to achieve a maximum break of 147 in the World Championship. As well as a large fanbase in the UK, Jimmy enjoys popularity in China and Thailand. English heavyweight boxer known for the sheer power of his left hook, Enry's 'Ammer , and his knockdown of the young Muhammad Ali. Cooper held the British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight titles several times throughout his career, and unsuccessfully challenged Ali for the world heavyweight championship in 1966. Following his retirement from the sport, Cooper continued his career as a television and radio personality and was enormously popular in Britain: he was the first (and is today one of just three people) to twice win the public vote for BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award and is thus far the only boxer to be awarded a knighthood. Union Case Collection – Lot 415 to Lot 439. The vendor became interested in acquiring photographic items after being left his grandfather’s plate camera in the late 1970s. During the 1980s he bought his first Union cases and his research in to these cases began. He found that there was a maker of Union cases in the U.K - John Smith of Birmingham; before this it was thought that Union cases were only made in the U.S.A. This new information was included in a book being written about Union cases that was being compiled at the time.
