SOMERSET LIGHT INFANTRY - TWO MOBILE RECRUITING OFFICE PAINTED DUMMY BOARD SOLDIER FIGURES early 20th century, the first styled as a rifleman of circa 1685, 214cm high; the second styled as an officer of circa 1840, 196.5cm high. Note: These figures were deployed to stand at the corner angles of the recruiting office as it travelled around the West Country. A copy of a photograph showing them in situ at the Bath & West Show in Taunton, in 1935, accompanies the lot.
