NEW YORK retailer's stamp, impressed dates 15.5cm., 6Bin. diameter minor stacking wear.
An unusual Crown Derby cobalt-blue ground two-handled vase and cover circa 1886 the ovoid-shaped body decorated in raised gilding with a band of circles enclosing various fruits and floral motifs between foliate bands, above a swag of leaves hung with more fruit and tied with ribbons, beneath which hover insects, the neck and stem moulded and gilt with acanthus, raised on a square gilt-enriched base, flanked by loop handles with gilt 'beading', domed cover red-printed factory mark and date cypher incorporating retailer's stamp IWP & C.PHILLIPS 25.5cm., 10in. high restored around top of foot (2)
