RICHARD WALTER "A Voyage Round the World in the Years MDCCXL, I, II, III, IV by George Anson Esq., Commander in Chief of a Squadron of His Majesty's Ships sent upon an exhibition to the South Seas", printed for the author by John and Paul Knapton London 1748, later cloth board bound with tooled and gilded spine, together with one volume "The Three Voyages of Captain Cook round the world" including Book 1 - "An account of a voyage round the world in 1768-1771" , Cook's second voyage "A Voyage round the world performed in his Britannic Majesty's ships The Revolution and Adventure in the years 1772-1775" and Volume II "Cook's Third Voyage A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean 1776-1780", bound as one volume, tooled cloth board bound with tooled and gilded leather spine and corners CONDITION REPORTS The Voyage Round the World - all pages with staining, yellowing and foxing. Inked library stamp to the new modern plain page to front. Many of the fold-out pages with some tears and repairs to folds and edges. Various foxing and stained impressions from opposing pages and they also appear to have been generally folded rather unevenly. The chart of the Pacific Ocean particularly has been torn at some stage at the bound end and has been selotaped. Also various splits at folds. Selotaped repairs, etc. The Cook's Voyages volume, cover of spine / spine has come away from binding. Pages with staining, yellowing, browning and foxing. Various inked library stamps.
WILLIAM NICHOLSON "An Alphabet", published by William Heinemann London 1898, printed paper board bound CONDITION REPORTS With heavy wear, dirt and stains, and sellotape to covers, spine has disintegrated and has losses, covers are loose, various Library stickers and stamps, some foxing, browning to edges of pages, pages/illustrations also have Library stamp to margins and also to the reverse of each illustration, the ink stamps to the reverse of the illustrations do not appear to show through to the front, some general wear and rubbing to pages, plates A - Z all appear to be present, and overall pages are in reasonable and uncreased condition.
