The stock has a short split emanating out from the left action, this appears to be stable. There are lots of dents, scratches and marks, the chequering is worn down in places.

The action cocks and releases with a strong spring and there is good lock-up in the breech. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some small dents and scratches, the woodwork has possibly been very lightly cleaned up or sanded.

Buyer must be over the age of 18. 139cm long The gun is in average condition with a nice patina to the stock but overall pitting to the metalwork, it is showing signs of age and use. The bore has pitting throughout. The action cocks and releases however the main spring is not very strong spring. The stock has the typical crack between the side nail and the barrel channel. There is a repaired crack straight through the forend on both sides of the middle barrel key. There is a spliced repair to the thinnest part of the wood in this area too. There are lots of dents and marks to the wood stock which can be seen from the images. Some screw heads show signs of being worked, there is a crack to the trigger guard either side of the first screw hole. The ramrod is a replacement. The bayonet has overall pitting.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.123cm long The gun shows all the signs of recent use being held recently on a FAC and fired. The bore is very good condition with a crisp rifling pattern and only a few tiny and very minor pit marks. The crown is in good order although the barrel has probably been reduced in length to remove a damaged or worn out crown or muzzle. The barrel has some pitting to the exterior, mainly around the nipple area. The nipple is a modern replacement. The false breech and barrel have been refinished. The lock works correctly with a good spring, the trigger is has been worked on and it much lighter to use than a standard Enfield pattern rifle trigger would be. The ramrod is a modern replacement. There is some pitting and corrosion to the trigger guard, butt plate and sling swivels. The stock shows scars of another sight being fitted behind the tang, there is a spliced-in patch to the comb, and a section of wood removed just ahead of the nipple housing. There are some streaks to the stock finish from cleaning fluid that has leaked down the gun.

The blacking to the barrels is in good order with some wear at the muzzles and to the underside showing the footprint of the forend. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. The actions function correctly with snap caps.The stock has been repaired at the wrist where the wood is thin, the repair looks to be stable, there is a spliced in repair to the edge of the forend. There are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing.

The barrels are in proof and measure at: .722 right and .721 left against a proof stamp of 13/1 (.719):The walls measure a minimum of .20 right and .21 leftThe bores have light pitting throughout the middle to the muzzle. There is the odd spot in the first half of each tube. The blacking to the barrels is in average order with some wear around the breech end. There are some light corrosion spots to the top lever. There is a very small amount of wobble between the barrels and action with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps.The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. Some of the chequering has been filled in with muck and which ideally needs cleaning out. There is some forward and backward play in the wood-to-metal fit of the forend. The forend iron to action fit is tight however the wood itself can be slid forward and backward creating a gap of around 0.5mm.

The bore has a good strong rifling pattern throughout, there is a few small pitting patches that can be seen towards the muzzle. There is a saw cut to the breech. The action functions well with a good positive lock up and strong sounding mainspring. The metalwork has some light surface pitting, there is heavier pitting at the point where the barrel meets the woodwork of the forend. There is a patch of the barrel where the bluing is worn through to polished metal. The woodwork has been very lightly sanded and freshly finished. It has a good feel to it but some of the marks are a little faint. There are some stains, scratch marks and light dents. The cleaning rod is missing.

The bores have light pitting throughout but there are also some heavier pitting patches, there has been an attempt to improve the bores with polishing and they are bright and shiny. The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed. There is some light overall pitting seen on the action, it is heavier on the trigger guard. The actions function correctly with snap caps. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are scratches and dents from use and the whole patina is dry and needs some oil to improve it.
