An impressive Great War period Indian, Military pattern, Kukri. 14" Heavy broad blade in v.g.c. no markings. Wooden grip with central ribs. In its leather scabbard with brass chape (marked with Indian Govt. inspection stamp?) Heavy duty leather scabbard with laced frog and brass studs. Military numbers '39' & '603' stamped to the frog reverse. (Some light service wear scuffing to scabbard). A large & well made military knife for Gurka use in WW1/WW2 with service wear. A 'sleeper'.
Colt London .35 Calibre Navy Pistol. Serial number 11,502. This makes it a 2nd Model London manufactured in 1854 at the start of the Crimean War. The left hand barrel flat is marked 'WD' below the Government Arrow. Barrel 7.5" with 'Address Col Colt London' to top octagonal flat. Good one piece walnut grips with 'TE' stamp (?). Iron backstrap and trigger guard. Matching numbers (some faded/worn) 'Six shot cylinder with 'VR' proof marks. Crisp, tight action with good lock up. WD mark denotes purchased by the British War Department during the Crimean War for the Baltic Fleet. A good pistol, some oxidisation to metal parts but in V good working order & condition. A sleeper.
Webley & Scott 'Schermuly' MKII signal pistol. Issue marks for 1917, with W/D arrow stamp & inspection marks. Webley winged bullet. Excellent walnut grips. (No chips or losses). Lanyard ring. Bell muzzle in good working order & condition with deactivation certificate dated 5.13.17. The pistol in collector grade condition.
Scottish selection includes ticket England v Scotland 9/4/32, Rangers v Real Madrid E.C 25/9/63, Scotland v England 11/4/64, Rangers v Brechin SLC S/F 28/9/57, Celtic v Partick Thistle SLC S/F 1/10/58 etc. Plus Team Press, black and white press photographs with Legend and accreditation stamp, Dundee 81/82 and Scotland for game vs Malta in Valetta 22/3/88 (approx 12)
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: France, Round, smooth-bore, 18 mm cal. barrels, dated 1822 (probably re-converted from percussion system), with stamp 'E' and another mark. Forward spring lock with mechanics in working order. Brass pan. Wooden, full stocks (one repaired at the grip), both with remains of stamps. Long, iron tangs on the back. Brass, stamped mounts. Iron ramrods. In a wooden case of later construction, complete with a key. length 34 cm.
dating: mid-19th Century provenance: Belgium, Round, smooth, 18 mm cal. barrel with octagonal breech and crowned stamps 'FF'. backward spring lock with flat plate marked 'PIRLOT FRERES A LIEGE' and with stamp 'B'; hammer with crowned 'FF'. Long, wooden stock with brass mounts. Articulated, iron ramrod, ring for the strap, counter-plate marked 'B'. length 35,5 cm.
