Guy Gee (b.1994)Great Britain Signed (lower right)Digital print 35 x 31cm Horatio's garden will receive 100% of the hammer price on this lot. Guy Gee is a London based artist working primarily in sculpture, set and interior design. Having worked on TV advertisements for Coca-Cola, Cadbury's and Marks & Spencer, Gee branched off to start his own studio in 2018. Gee has little interest in traditional stamp collecting but having stumbled across a Japanese stamp from the 1890s an obsession quickly set in. The ""Terence Stamp"" project had begun: the reimagining of postage stamps by digital revision and enlargement. The commissions and requests that followed soon covered stamps from other countries around the world. Gee has now worked with the stamps of over 200 nations, islands, states and cities. In 2021 he was approached by Stanley Gibbons, “the home of stamp collecting”, for a collaboration; reproducing the world’s most expensive postage stamp - the One Cent Magenta - which they had recently purchased at Sotheby’s New York for $8.3million. The themes of travel and geography continue throughout his work.

Bestehend aus einem wohl weiteren Exemplar des umfangreichen Gedächtnis-Bandes von insgesamt nur 2 bekannten erhaltenen Bänden aus dem familiären Umfeld. Dieses mit schwarzem Einband und avers geprägtem EK 1939 mit zum Teil originalen Fotos und Zeitungsausschnitten und Berichten über die "Roten Teufel", die Ritterkreuzverleihung und die Beisetzung Oberst Werners in Brest 1940. Auf schwarz gerahmtem Büttenpapier. Außerdem darin innenliegend diverse Abschriften: 2 x Ausweis über die Verleihung der Österreichischen Kriegserinnerungsmedaille 1937 sowie Abschrift Urkunde des Zarentums Bulgarien über die Kriegserinnerungsmedaille 1938. Weiterhin 2 Zeitungsfragmente mit der Abbildung und Nennung neuer Ritterkreuzträger, 4 Fotoabzüge mit Einzel- oder Gruppenporträts Oberst Werners, davon 1 gerahmter Abzug. Consisting of a probably further exemplar of the extensive commemorative volume of a total of only 2 known surviving volumes from the family environment. This with a black Iron Cross 1939 cover and reverse embossed with partly original photos and newspaper clippings and reports on the "Red Devils", the awarding of the Knight's Cross and Colonel Werner's funeral in Brest in 1940. On black-framed handmade paper. Also inside therein various copies: 2 x identity card about the award of the Austrian war commemoration medal in 1937 as well as a copy of the certificate of the Bulgarian tsardom about the war commemoration medal in 1938. Also 2 newspaper fragments with the illustration and naming of new Knight's Cross recipients, 4 photo prints with individual or group portraits of Colonel Werner, of which 1 framed print. Also from Colonel Werner's personal belongings, each with a label or stamp pasted "ex libris": 4 volumes "Rangliste des Deutschen Reichsheeres" vols. 1926, 1927, 1928 and 1930. Werner's original signature in volumes 1926 and 1927. Also bound typescript with dust jacket "Nunquam-retrorsum!" and red devil from collected communications, orders, messages and speeches on the occasion of Werner's funeral. Also 2 x book The "Red Devils" and their commander by Hans Christern. Munich 1941/1942. A copy with a damaged dust jacket and a personal dedication by the author. Folgende Prägungen finden sich auf dem gegossenen Goldbarren: Vmtl. Seriennummer: 837193; Hersteller: 'COMPAGNIE DES MÉTAUX PRÉCIEUX - FONDEURS AFFINEURS - PARIS' und dem Prüferstempel 'PALÉPÉE ESSAYEUR' mit doppelköpfigen Pferdemotiv auf trompetenförmigen Standfuß. Herstellungsjahr unbekannt. Unebene, rauhe Oberfläche mit Kratzern und Kerben. Selbstverständlich ist hierfür auch die entsprechende Rechnung, vmtl. aus den 1940er Jahren erhalten, leider ohne genaue Angaben zum Kaufpreis und Kaufdatum. Rechnung weist Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren auf und wurde bereits zur Stabilisierung mit Klebestreifen versehen. Seltene Gelegenheit für Sammler und Investoren! Year of manufacture unknown. Uneven, rough surface with scratches and nicks. Of course, there is also the corresponding invoice, presumably from the 1940s, but unfortunately without precise information on the purchase price and date of purchase. Invoice shows signs of age and wear and has already been provided with adhesive strips for stabilization. Rare opportunity for collectors and investors! Tax exempt according to §25c UStG.| Lingot d'or historique de France - environ 994,9 grammes ou 35,09 onces d'or fin, alliage 995,9, environ 999 grammes d'or brut. Reverse: Female figure with spider ray is crowned by another female figure with cornucopia with a laurel wreath, below the Wuerttemberg coat of arms. In original box. DDR - Vaterländischer Verdienstorden in Silber, Erste Form, verliehen 1981. Der Vaterländische Verdienstorden weist einen Silberanteil von ca. 900/1000 auf. Im Originaletui. Altersspuren wie Tönung und die rote Emaillemalerei auf dem Orden ist lückenhaft. Anbei befindet sich im originalen Hardcover-Umschlag die Verleihungsurkunde mit originaler Signatur des Präsidenten Wilhelm Pieck, sowie dessen Wachsstempel in Rot. Diese Auszeichnung wurde Heinz Abraham verliehen. Heinz Abraham wurde am 30. Juni 1911 in Allenstein, Ostpreußen, geboren und war ein jüdisch-deutscher Antifaschist, Historiker und Diplomat. Während seiner Emigration in der UdSSR arbeitete er unter anderem als Architekt und Bauleiter im Wohnungsbau und in der Industrie, insbesondere beim sowjetischen staatlichen Projektierungsbüro Gorstroiprojekt. In der DDR übernahm er die Rolle eines Hochschullehrers für Geschichte und Politik der Kommunistischen Partei der Sowjetunion (KPdSU) an der Parteihochschule "Karl Marx" der Sozialistischen Einheitspartei Deutschlands (SED). Von 1960 bis 1964 hatte er das Amt des Gesandten der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik (DDR) in der Sowjetunion inne. Heinz Abraham verstarb am 2. März 1992 in Berlin.| GDR - Fatherland Order of Merit in Silver, First Form, awarded in 1981. The Fatherland Order of Merit has a silver content of about 900/1000. In original case. Signs of age such as toning and the red enamel painting on the medal is patchy. Enclosed in the original hardcover envelope is the award certificate with original signature of President Wilhelm Pieck, and his wax stamp in red. This decoration was awarded to Heinz Abraham. Heinz Abraham was born on June 30, 1911 in Allenstein, East Prussia, and was a Jewish-German anti-fascist, historian and diplomat. During his emigration in the USSR, he worked, among other things, as an architect and construction manager in housing construction and industry, especially at the Soviet state project planning office Gorstroiprojekt. In the GDR, he took on the role of university lecturer in the history and politics of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) at the "Karl Marx" Party College of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1960 to 1964 he held the post of envoy of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) to the Soviet Union. Heinz Abraham died in Berlin on March 2, 1992.
