Note: This drawing is a preliminary sketch for the figure depicted in Morisot’s “The Bowl of Milk”. Today, the painting hangs in Monet’s home at Giverny. He purchased the painting in 1892. Theodore Robinson recorded in his diary the circumstances under which the painting was purchased by Monet in 1892.
