Slatkin Galleries, New York; Jerrold Morris Gallery, Toronto Literature: Reported to have been exhibited in an exhibition of drawings, pastels and paintings held at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Oct./Nov. 1960. Note: This drawing is a preliminary sketch for the figure depicted in Morisot’s “The Bowl of Milk”. Today, the painting hangs in Monet’s home at Giverny. He purchased the painting in 1892. Theodore Robinson recorded in his diary the circumstances under which the painting was purchased by Monet in 1892.

Daniell and Son` retailer`s stamp to turquoise glazed base, diameter approx 24cm.
