:AN AUSTRIAN 20-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN BY G. EMPACHER IN WEIN, second quarter of the 19th century, with 30 1/2in. barrels (cleaned bright) with matt rib signed 'G. EMPACHER IN WEIN', the breech-ends each with small gold-lined maker's stamp, the underside of the barrels signed 'FORTE. FA. GIACOMO BERETTA A BRESCIA', engraved breeches each with pierced plug, foliate engraved tang, signed locks engraved with foliage inhabited by monsters, well figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip and raised cheek-piece, engraved iron mounts including butt-plate and trigger-guard each decorated with a trophy of arms, and trigger-plate with a stylised pineapple finial, sling mounts, shield-shaped white metal escutcheon engraved with a crown and the initial 'F', and original brass-tipped ramrod.

A Victorian Coalbrookdale cast iron garden seat, late 19th century, the backrest with arched centre with foliate cresting, above a trefoil with radiating strapwork above, flanked by foliate panels, with iron slatted seat, serpentine armrests and hoof feet, the reverse with diamond date stamp, 98cm high, 155cm wide, (backrest restored) See lot 45 for a catalogue note relating to this seat.
louis Charles Hippolyte Buhot french School (1815-1865) a pair of bronze cupids each holding a dove and draped in a sash, gazing downwards, on rocaille cast circular plinth base, struck with maker's stamp in capital letters, copper patination (2) 47cm high, plinths 20cm deep note: Buhot began his career at the end of the neo-Classical period of French sculpture as a student of David d'Angers at the École des Beaux-Arts, first exhibiting at the Salon in 1837 and becoming a regular participant in its exhibitions until 1865. His works in bronze are primarily figurative.
